Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

The recruits being trained

Talk to Lieutenant Ehran at the entrance to Velyn Harbor. He says a Redguard force and a group of Wood Orcs, known as the Drublog, attacked the city at the same time. He tells you to rescue civilians from the Trade Hall and the Mages Guild and tell them to gather at the Fighters Guild barracks.

Or, you can find Corporal Anerel just outside the Fighters Guild entrance. She has much the same story to tell, and will mention Ehran's plans to raise a militia before asking you to rescue the civilians.

There are four civilians to rescue. Muramil and Parmbarel are in the Mages Guild, which is at the north end of the city. Bishanti and Imriel are hiding in the Harbor Customs Hall, which is in the west side.

Once you have spoken to the civilians and urged them to join the militia, you'll find Sergeant Linaarie by the Fighters Guild. She congratulates you, but she also says Lieutenant Ehran has gone off looking for Captain Cularalda, who has disappeared. She was on the docks when the Ra Gada arrived, and is presumed dead or held captive. Linaarie suspects more is going on; either way, the Lieutenant needs to exercise caution.

Cross the main bridge to the east. The militia has driven much of the invading force back, but there is more work to be done. When you find Ehran, just past the bridge, he says the Fists of the Thalmor need to alert the rest of the Broken Coast. You will have to clear the road, then blow a signal horn to let the runner know it is safe. Go to the gate, kill any nearby Drublog, and use the horn. Once the runner is safely on their way, you need to report back to the Lieutenant.

Inside the central ruined house, you'll find him. He charged ahead, he says, and was fatally wounded before his militia could catch up. He passes the command to Linaarie before succumbing to his wounds.

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
