Lankin in the Mechanical Fundament

Lankin is a Khajiit hopeful who was promised sponsorship by Constable Baldan in exchange for gold.

However Baldan betrayed him and ordered him killed in the Mechanical Fundament. With the help of Kireth Vanos, you must try and find him and bring Constable Baldan to justice.

Dialogue

After you speak with Neramo outside of Brass Fortress about how to gain a sponsor for citizenship, Lankin and Constable Baldan meet:

Lankin: "Sergeant Baldan! This one has the gold you requested! Will you still sponsor me?"

Baldan: "I gave you my word, didn't I? Come, cat. We can discuss the specifics in my office."

Lankin: "A thousand blessings to you, walker! Lankin has much to offer the Brass Fortress!"

Baldan: "Yes, I'm sure you do."

Later in the quest you and Kireth find him in the Mechanical Fundament:

Kireth Vanos: "Finally! Come with us, Lankin. We're getting you out of here."

Lankin: "Friend Kireth! Bright moons above! Please, let's leave this dungy place!"

When you escape the quest area, a dialogue between various people begins. In a part of it, Lankin also takes part:

Kireth Vanos: "That bastard, Baldan, threw me into the Fundament!"

Constable Baldan: "Ridiculous. I've never seen this woman in my life."

Lankin: "Liar! You tossed this one in as well!"
