Paheiza

Paheiza is an Argonian found in Lilmoth. She is the egg-sister of Keema-Ru, the recently deceased owner of a nearby saltrice farm and is currently in dispute over ownership with Nurhei. If she gets ownership, Paheiza plans to sell the place to pay off her debts.

Dialogue[edit]

She can be found drinking near the western gate. When she is spoken to she will say:

"What do you want?"
I'm here to talk about the saltrice farm.
"That sniveling little slug! Chuxu was supposed to handle this himself.
Well, what more do you want to know? The farm was my egg-sister's, so it belongs to me now. A fair claim by anyone's standards, I would think."
Did Keema-Ru ever formally say you were to inherit the farm?
"No, but why would she need to? Of course she would want me to have the farm! All I want is to sell the damn place and move on with my life.
Look, it's all I have left. That and Keema-Ru's grave-stake by the docks."
Keema-Ru's grave-stake?
"Her memorial, of course.
When a Saxhleel dies, their lives are honored with the carvings on their grave-stakes. If you're so curious about who my sister is, why don't you go look for yourself?"
I'll do that. Thanks for your time.
"Just leave me to my grief. And tell Chuxu I have a few choice words for him, when this is all over."

After Sulahkeesh has instructed you to obtain special oils and give them to the claimants, Paheiza can be found outside near a wall corner.

"You again. Here to tell me the Shadowscale's judgement, are you? Well, let me hear it."
Sulahkeesh wants you to negotiate with Nurhei at the town's entrance.
"Negotiate? With that spineless kuuda?
Fine. Besides, it's about time that someone put Nurhei in his place. There's no doubt that the Shadowscale will agree with my claim."
She wants you to rub this oil into your scales before you attend.
"What's this? Hmm. Smells like perfume.
I'll do as the Shadowscale asks, of course. Not stupid enough to go against her wishes. And I'll attend the meeting too, make no mistake."
I'll see you there.

If she's spoken to again:

"Finally, a chance to put Nurhei in his proper place. I hope the Shadowscale makes him eat his tongue! And I hope he chokes on it."
I happened to read some letters between you and Nurhei.
"Oh? So you finally caught wind of the truth, did you?
Nurhei's the whole reason I'm like this, you know. Gave me my first bottle of skooma, free of charge! The bottles afterward, of course, were plenty costly."
And so you stole from your sister to keep up the habit.
"What do you know? Who are you to judge me?
It was different before, you know. I had a life. I had a family. And now I have nothing, nothing but a muddy scrap of land that might let me finally move on from this swamp pit."
[Intimidate] You don't deserve your sister's land. You're the reason she went into ruin.
"Shut up! Just go away! I won't hear another word of this.
You're lucky there's a Shadowscale involved, or I'd burn down that whole farm just to spite you all. Then no one would get anything! Is that what you want? Oh, just go away!"
I don't care one way or another, so long as I'm rewarded for all of this.
"Then stop accusing me of things you have no right to! Just … just go away!"

When you reach the negotiation site, the following scene will happen.

Chuxu: "Thank you for both agreeing to this negotiation."
Nurhei: "Of course! Far be it from me to deny the wisdom of a Shadowscale."
Paheiza: "Oh, please. Let's just get this over with."
Sulahkeesh: "Before we begin negotiations, I want the two of you to shake hands, amicably. To show your good intentions in coming here."
<The pair reach out and shake hands. An explosion erupts from where they touch, both are thrown backwards and are killed.>
Chuxu: "What … what happened? What did you do?"
Sulahkeesh: "What was asked of me. I resolved their dispute. I entrust the farm to you, Chuxu. You'd do best to not disappoint me."
