Master Firuth vs Divayth Fyr[edit]

During my first playthroughs of the Telvanni questline, I got a really solid impression that Master Firuth is the fifth Telvanni councilor, and so, by rule of elimination, I attributed the only Mouth whose master wasn't explicitly mentioned, Vaelin Oren, to him. However, a problem arose when Aran noticed that the journal entry for A Late Delivery mentions that Oren is the Mouth of Divayth Fyr. It left me really confused, and I've been digging through the game files to solve this problem, but it seems there isn't any. Firuth really felt like a Telvanni councilor: he had the Master title, was heavily involved in the Telvanni questline, which involves most of the remaining councilors, and also wrote a writ of endorsement upon which the Council based its decision to further promore Sun-in-Shadow. Conversely, Fyr states that he was only recently granted membership in House Telvanni, doesn't seem to be interested in House politics, and in TES III, he repeatedly refused membership offers. To make matters worse, neither Firuth nor Fyr is explicitly mentioned to be a Councilor in the game. On the basis of this evidence, what do you think is the best solution? Leave Firuth in the councilors table, replace him with Fyr, or mention neither? --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 17:20, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

Although it's never outright stated, I'd say it's pretty safe to say that Master Firuth sits in the council and that Divayth Fyr does not. As Fyr states that he's uninterested in House politics and still isn't by the time of TES III, I doubt that it's him Vaelin represents in the Council. Sun-in-Shadow probably wouldn't have put all that effort into getting an endorsement from someone who isn't the the Council, either. My guess is that Vaelyn represents Firuth in the Council, but also acts as a mouth for Divayth Fyr (Fyr would need one, considering how he's seemingly always busy with things other than House politics); any other assumptions would be a bit far-fetched. I think we should keep things as they are: Firuth being the councillor and Vaelyn being the Mouth of both Firuth and Fyr. —Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 17:56, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
With no other input present, that's two against zero. I'm leaving Firuth in the table. Thanks! --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 18:35, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
