Arena Items[edit]

This page lists the unique items found in the Dragonstar and Maelstrom Arenas, but these items really don't seem to belong here. I thought about moving them to Arena Sets, but they're really not set items at all by any definition, in that they don't receive bonuses due to equipping more than one of them. (In fact since they're all weapons, there's only a few that you even can equip more than one of, and fewer that it makes any sense to do so with, since they modify specific weapons skills - only 3 of them apply to Dual Wield.) Admittedly, they do have "set-like" bonuses, in that they're bonuses which are unique and not found on any other items, but by the definitions used on previous games, these might be classified as "Artifacts" - and they're the closest thing we have to artifacts in this game, as there are to my knowledge no other unique effects to be found on any single items anywhere else in the game (barring a handful of Collectibles, most of which do not have any practical use beyond decorative). I propose a new page for these, one which is not part of the Sets hierarchy since they're not sets. Open to suggestions on what to call it - "Arena Weapons" might be a good candidate, but could be problematic if more such items are added that are not related to an arena. "Unique Items" might be good - though possibly not accurate as you could potentially have 2 of the same item if you do the arenas enough. Also we're currently using that name for quest-drop items with unique names and flavor text, even though the names are the only "unique" part about them, since they're all just standard (usually set) items in practice. Possibly move that to "Quest Reward Items" or something, since it is just a matter of naming for those items. I don't know - I just don't think they belong here, or anywhere under Sets. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 01:14, 14 August 2017 (UTC)

Hhhmmm... I totally agree with you : they are not set items. These weapons had to be somewhere, and I didn't know where to put them except in this non-armour section. I also agree with your discussion about where they should be moved to. Since there's already a Zone and a Dungeon section in the Unique Items page, don't you think it would be more logical to add an Arena section and to move them there ? Yes, I agree that these weapons can be dropped several times in the same arena, but a small introductory sentence stating this specificity may as well be enough for everyone to understand... Perhaps we could call the page "Uniquely Enchanted Items" or something along those lines? The unique effects are enchantments, technically, which can't be obtained anywhere else. AlphaAbsol (talk) 10:44, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
