Snilling

Snilling is a Nord farmer who lives in Katla's Farm near Solitude. He is the husband of Katla and father of Knud. He does not leave the house because he has become clumsy and weak, as Katla says "He'll only hurt himself out there."

With his wife doing all the work, Snilling does very little but eat and sleep. He wakes up every morning at 6am and takes a one-hour breakfast then goes back to bed for another hour. Starting at 8am, and all through the day until his bedtime at midnight, he loiters lazily around the house, interrupted only by one-hour meals at noon and 6pm.

Snilling wears farm clothes along with a pair of boots and a pair of gloves. He carries a spare belted tunic and the key to his house. Snilling wields an iron sword in combat.

Dialogue[edit]

He can politely greet you with:

"Oh, hello. Have a seat, will you?"
"I was a much younger man when I married Katla. Now I can hardly keep up with her."
"My brothers would have been appalled to see a man outdone by his wife, but not me. Without Katla, this farm would fall apart."

Conversations[edit]

When the family is together, they may engage in conversation:

Katla: "Another gorgeous gray day, right dear?"
Snilling: "It's too cold for my bones, but that never seems to stop you, dear."
Knud: "I'm gonna go play soldier with a tree!"
Katla: "That's nice, son. Just don't stomp on the crop like last time!"
Snilling: "I'll see if I can't get some work done inside, where it's warm."
