Bugged Journal Entries

I have bugged journal entries relating to these quests:

The bounties which point to Jarl Skalde of Dawnstar stay in the journal even after getting the bonties from him. I have already two entries which point to him. The quest stage is 0 atm. (PC version). 91.42.177.163 23:40, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Has happened with me also with Dawnstars Imperial replacement Jarl. I now have two journal entries telling me to collect my money.

Also I was given a bounty quest to clear Valtheim Towers in Whiterun. However the bandits did not spawn and so I can't actually get any bounty quests from Whiterun any more as I can't complete the current one I have active. The same thing happened in Windhelm with a dragon bounty at Bonestrewn Crest. It hasn't spawned either and so I can no longer get bounty quests from there. It's been like 100 days since I last cleared the areas as well. Also in a couple of holds the option for bounty quests doesn't actually come up no matter who I speak to. This has happened in Riften, Winterhold, Solitude and Morthal..

Bounty Bug

If you receive a bounty quest from an innkeeper, attack them, (may not be necessary) then reload the last save before getting the quest, the "i'm looking for work, got any leads?" Dialogue option will not show up, preventing any more bounty quests in that hold. — Unsigned comment by 90.195.199.104 (talk) at 05:21 on 30 May 2018

That's what's known as a forced bug, you should still be able to get bounties from the jarl, steward, or another innkeeper, after which the innkeeper you attacked may reset. Silence is Golden^{Break the Silence} 13:40, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
