Race?[edit]

It states Festus is most likely a Breton, but his name sounds like he is most likely Imperial. The 'us' at end of first name and ive seen imperial names end with X before. — Unsigned comment by 108.29.105.37 (talk) at 06:36 on 1 February 2012

I agree with you, his name definitely implies that he is an Imperial. Someone should really change that. 72.68.154.112 16:27, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
However, his strong affinity for destruction magic implies that he's a Breton. There's no real way to tell. Kitkat TalkContribE-mail 16:41, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
This page has Festus Krex as an Imperial name. I don't know how this was determined, but it seems likely to me. His name doesn't sound even the slightest bit Breton. Also note that Bretons do not have any bonuses in Destruction magic. They tend to favor supportive magicks, where all of their bonuses lie. Therefore, IMHO, his affinity for Destruction would imply he is not a Breton --Xyzzy 05:42, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
Xyzzy, that page only lists the name because of this NPC we're wondering about--there's only one Festus and one Krex in Skyrim.
Do we even need to guess a race? Vely►Talk►Email 15:28, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
I agree with you, Vely. I vote that any speculation as to Festus' pre-Elder race be stricken from the article. This should never have been added to it in the first place. I feel a little foolish for even joining in the conversation. --Xyzzy 16:11, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

() I agree, it can only be speculation. The Silencer has spokenTalk 16:16, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
