When does she appear?[edit]

I've never noticed her in the Ragged Flagon 'til someone told me to go looking for a 'face sculptor' (which became a miscellaneous quest). Is she always there and I'm just not observant, or does she appear after a certain point in the game/certain level/whatever? And if she does appear after a certain something, should that be mentioned on her page? Obax 06:30, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

I just downloaded Dawnguard, and I haven't done any related quests or anything yet. After selling off some stuff to Tonilia I turned around and bam, she was just sitting there and she initiated dialogue. So it's probably safe to assume she spawns there immediately after you download the DLC. On another note, when you attack her you get the "You've assaulted a member of the Thieves Guild!" so wouldn't it be erroneous to note on the page that she ISN'T a member? --209.225.107.176 18:55, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
I didn't go into the Ragged Flagon, so I haven't actually seen her, but when I talked to an innkeeper I received a rumor about her and the miscellaneous objective Obax mentioned. I would also guess that she's added with the DLC, but there's no way of knowing for sure until Dawnguard comes out for the PC and game-data can be checked. ABCface 21:02, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

Is this character essential?[edit]

Just wondering. — Unsigned comment by 175.139.1.175 (talk) at 15:59 on 1 July 2012

Nope, game-data says she's not. ABCface 05:24, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Why not vamps?[edit]

Why can't vampires get their face changed and the living can. If you can get your face changed when a vamp, how do you do it? — Unsigned comment by 71.150.248.211 (talk) at 04:46 on 20 July 2012

It is not possible to do it as a vampire. The only way is to cure your vampirism. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 04:49, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
There is a conflict when you try to change your appearance while you're a vampire, because vampires must have the lightest skin tone possible, a change in eye color, different eyebrows and jaw size. That's the "technical" explanation here, of course, you won't get infos about it in-game Elakyn 09:47, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
My observation is that vampires are considered a separate "race" (e.g. Dunmer vampire categorically separated from standard Dunmer) - which partially explains the mesh glitches with the Thieves Guild hoods and Ebony shields. This 'sub-race' would be responsible for the pale skin/eye color parameters. Nosvertu (talk) 02:03, 28 February 2013 (GMT)

Race menu doesn't open[edit]

When asking Galathil to change my appearance she only takes the money but nothing happens. The menu to alter the face simply doesn't open. When i first tried to change my appearance I was a werewolf, so I thought that might be the reason. I cured lycanthropy but still it wouldn't work. Is there any way to fix this? — Unsigned comment by 193.171.41.225 (talk) at 21:41 on 11 November 2012

Is the DLC necessary?[edit]

Is it possible to get Galathil without downloading the DLC? Just wondering.
