Korir and Son in Brunwulf Free-Winter's House[edit]

When I took Winterhold for the Empire, unlike other Stormcloak-supporting Jarls, I found Jarl Korir and his son, Assur in Brunwulf Free-Winter's house in Windhelm. Is this by design, or was there just no more space for another Stormcloak-supporting Jarl in the Palace of Kings? Galacticninja 13:44, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

This happened to me too. I think it's supposed to happen or it could be a bug — Unsigned comment by 68.126.250.58 (talk) at 03:10 on 17 December 2011
Same here, thus making it a bug as i can't turn this quest in because he sits inside Brunwulf Free Winter's house all day long like a hermit yelling at me that i am not suppose to be here. — Unsigned comment by 75.73.209.255 (talk) at 01:11 on 27 January 2012 (GMT)
they're family and he is supposed to be there. not being able to turn in the quest is just a slight oversight by the developers, one of many associated with the post-civil war questline--64.126.90.132 10:34, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
I don't think that Brunwulf is connected to Korir. I'll have to see if I have this going on in my copy, but this doesn't sound right. You cannot assume family or anything as an explanation if there isn't any clear statement from any character or item that this is the reason. Korir should be in the Palace from what I know, and unless his son is his steward or perhaps housecarl then he should probably remain in Winterhold just like Balgruuf's children stay in Whiterun. Just like with the Ebony Blade, I will not accept theories like this without confirmation from Bethesda.--Playerseekingbugs (talk) 07:29, 20 December 2012 (GMT)
Korir, Thaena, and Assur are all exhiled to the house instead of Palace of the Kings, much like Dengeir and Tekla go to Candlehearth Hall or Kralder and Thonjolf go to Erikur's House in Solitude. 68.97.219.244 21:40, 4 January 2014 (GMT)

Korir now standing in place at Palace of the Kings?[edit]

Not sure if this is the result of a patch update, but Korir now stands in the Palace of the Kings, with his steward and child, in an area to the right of Ulfric's throne. I've tried using the "moveto player" command to move them away, but they walk back to the same spot and stand. I'm gathering that is a spawning point for when Jarls are deposed to Palace of the Kings, and that Korir used to (or maybe still does?) go to Brunwulf's house when deposed. Is anyone else noticing this? VycDarkshadow (talk) 16:33, 7 April 2013 (GMT)

It's a change made by the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. They moved him to the Palace of the Kings like all the other desposed Stormcloack jarls.Soggybobcat (talk) 01:02, 13 May 2013 (GMT)
Just to note this, they reverted it later as it turned out the palace didn't have enough room for all of them. --Ethruvisil (talk) 00:33, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

Hatred of elves?[edit]

Why does it say he has "particular vitriol for elven mages"? I don't see anything about elves in his dialogue. --Ethruvisil (talk) 00:33, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

It's mostly reflected in Assur's dialogue; "My pa says elves are bad and not to trust 'em.", "My pa says people like you are the reason no one lives here anymore." (if you aren't a human), and of course, his game of "Hunt the Elf". --Paizotic (talk) 03:40, 15 March 2019 (UTC)
