"I added..."[edit]

I added some info to this article yesterday. Soon after my contribution was removed again. What's the point of requesting additional info, if you're taking it down again?

every single NPC will send thugs after you if you steal, so adding it to a specific NPCs page is useless. (Eddie The Head 12:42, 23 December 2011 (UTC))
Hm.. ok, thanks for that info. Didn't know that, as I don't steal, except for this one quest where I have to.

Lars Missing?[edit]

I have seen Lars on my first 3 builds right away when entering Whiterun. However, on my 4th build I live in Whiterun and have been there for over a month in-game and have done all but a couple quests for the hold, but I have yet to see Lars anywhere. I guess I might not get to do the bullying misc quest or see more life by seeing more children playing in Whiterun. I checked everwhere for 2 in-game days straight to see if I could at least find Lars' corpse but to no avail. Oh, and dragons have yet to spawn I didn't go to Bleak Falls yet. Anyone else have Lars be a no show or disappear on them? --D. Gemini 10:33, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Did you check inside his home? He's a child, which means he can't be killed. Kitkat TalkContribE-mail 11:50, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
I finally ran into him by the tree, it only took over 50 hours of play for him to finally show up lol... I guess he may have been in his house and got glitched somehow, but it seems he didn't come out for a long time. I live in Whiterun and I would see the other two girls playing every day, but no Lars, until finally he showed. It was a weird too cuz my first 3 characters ran into him right away first time in Whiterun. --D. Gemini 20:45, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Turning Lars "invisible"[edit]

When I sneaked into House Battle-Born, I renewed my invisibility spell. Shortly after, Lars approached me (despite being invisible) and asked me, if i could turn him invisbile too. There were multiple dialogue options, I decided to lie and tell him, that I have just turned him invisible. He replied "Great, now i can have some fun". I don't know, if this will have any consequences.

It's a world interaction that you can have with all children. No, there won't be any bad consequences.--Skyrimplayer (talk) 12:56, 31 October 2012 (GMT)

Adoption[edit]

The main page on children mentions that Lars is among one of the children adoptable once he is orphaned (with a question mark next to it). I'm guessing that, because of the question mark, this hasn't been confirmed. His mother, father, uncle, and grandma are all dead, but his grandfather is essential. I'm still not able to talk to him about adoption, and he has not been relocated to Honorhall Orphanage. Researching this elsewhere on the web yields no results. Can anyone confirm that he is unadoptable? I am playing on 360, so console codes are useless.

Parents[edit]

After the latest edits I looked again at all the messed up Battle-Born relationships, with some prompting by Dwarfmp, and found that there isn't a shred of evidence in the CS that Idolaf is Lars father. Alfhild is easily identified as his mother, and Idolaf is Alfhild's husband, but there is no relationship status between Idolaf and Lars. There is no dialogue (that I can find) either, that suggests this. I don't know how it can be worded, as saying he is his father-in-law would implicitly imply we knew he was not his son, when there is no evidence to that either. I don't think it's relevant, Olfrid isn't tagged as Jon's father, but Bergritte is his mother and Bergritte and Olfrid are married, so who else could be? If Idolaf isn't Lars' father, who is? Lars certainly talks about having a father (his father catching him looking in birds' nests on the roof of Dragonsreach and tipping the cow in the Gray-Manes' yard) so who else could be his father? I imagine it's just an oversight, and doesn't really matter. 109.153.131.239 16:13, 30 July 2013 (GMT)
