Hobbies?[edit]

I adopted Lucia. For a while, while she was in the house and not interacting with me, I would just see her playing with her doll, lie on the floor, stand there, walk around, sit and eat. Just today however, she pulled out a lute and started to play. No sound, but it was something quite new for me to see. Has anyone else noticed anything new with their adopted kids? I guess Lucia, in particular. (Magskall (talk) 04:20, 19 September 2012 (GMT))

I adopted Sofie, and she did the same thing. She took out a lute and played. But, she only did this when I lived at the Whiterun house. She didn't do it at any of the other houses. — KunvuloninKünvülänin 03:21, 20 September 2012 (GMT)

No Dialog to Give Gold?[edit]

Just got Hearthfire on PC today and bumped into this girl in Whiterun. She asks for gold, but I get no dialog option to give her any. Has anyone else encountered this, and of so should it be mentioned in the article on her with the other bugs? Voraxith (talk) 08:22, 5 October 2012 (GMT)

I think the trigger for interaction is whether you have a child's room in at least one of your houses. I installed Hearthfire after starting a new Dragonborn and couldn't interact with Lucia at first. After becoming Thane of Whiterun and buying Breezehome, I furnished the child's room and talking to Lucia for charity/adoption became available. SonGoharotto (talk) 15:26, 13 October 2012 (GMT)

About Lucia[edit]

The bug about Lucia not going to bed when told to can be avoided by adopting her as the first child. The bug will occur if she is the second adopted child.

Lucia sleeps outside and behind the Bannered Mare at night if not adopted. — Unsigned comment by 175.139.93.66 (talk) at 07:12 on 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Parents/Uncle[edit]

Do we know who her family actually are? As soon as I heard about the uncle I had the urge to go murder them (Dark Brotherhood habits die hard, like most of my victims…) but I've not been able to figure out who they are, are there any clues? -- Haravikk (talk) 14:21, 22 November 2012 (GMT)

Yeah I would like to know that as wellSeeker23 (talk) 10:45, 29 July 2013 (GMT)
same--another child is praying to their mother. 24.23.42.192 20:18, 4 May 2023 (UTC)

Giving her stuff[edit]

I know you can give her food and stuff, but are you able to give her a weapon (like a dagger)? And what would she do with it? — Unsigned comment by 184.88.12.130 (talk)

Like most (all?) children, probably just run away whenever confronted by danger. Children are not as far as I know able to defend themselves, other than the fact that they're un-killable in general. TheRealLurlock (talk) 20:35, 23 November 2012 (GMT)
See this discussion for a couple links on what gifts you can give male and female children. This is taken straight from game-data and not tested in gameplay, but if it's correct then yes you can give her daggers as gifts if she is your adopted child. — ABCface 02:23, 24 November 2012 (GMT)
What happens if you give her a dagger? will she go hunting, go on a crazy rampage, or will she just be the same, but with a dagger? --184.88.12.130 16:09, 14 December 2012 (GMT)
In my experience with giving Alesan a wooden sword, he got excited and thanked me, and then I later saw him in the cellar practicing on the dummy with it. I imagine the same thing would happen with all children for weapons you give them as gifts, though it's just a guess. — ABCface 19:23, 14 December 2012 (GMT)

() <<<<<I've given Lucia all kinds of stuff, like treats, clothes, dolls and daggers... I enjoy watching her attack the dummy with the dagger but now I have a problem... even though I have given her so many dresses she chooses to run around naked...I tried re gifting dresses to her that she'll put in her chest but she still wont put them on...hhhmmmmmm..... >>>>> — Unsigned comment by 71.93.91.242 (talk) at 06:51 on 20 September 2013‎

The clothing issue is a known problem for kids in the game which doesn't have any confirmed fixes documented. You could try removing all clothing items from her chest, then using the wait feature away from your home(/Lucia) for 48 hours, then returning and gifting her another dress to see if that works. If it does, please return to let us know! Otherwise, maybe someone else will have some ideas on other things you can try. — ABCface 12:27, 20 September 2013 (GMT)

Daggers[edit]

yes they do use daggers on the practice dummy too... — Unsigned comment by 173.65.119.227 (talk) at 17:32 on 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Lucia is an enemy of the Empire and they want her dead[edit]

At the Battle for Whiterun on the side of the Imperials I noticed something odd. REALLY odd. I adopted Lucia prior to this, and drafted Ria into the Blades. As I left the gate from Whiterun to join the battle I saw Lucia and Ria, and for some reason all the Whiterun Guards and Imperial Soldiers were viciously attacking my daughter. Assuming she isn't a Stormcloak spy this is clearly a bug.

It should be noted that I couldn't get Jarl Balgruuf to start his speech after the battle without use of my imperial Voice of the Emperor, because Legat Rikke really wanted my daughter dead. I'm thinking I chose the wrong side...

EDIT: I noticed under the actual Battle for Whiterun (Imperial) page it mentioned this, but it says to mover your family to a different home, when I already had my family living in Lakeview Manor before this quest started. Theomniadept (talk) 00:13, 16 September 2013 (GMT)

Two questions.[edit]

My first question: On what consoles does she dissappear from the game?

And my second question: If she does dissappear from the game could I adopt another child?

I'm playing on Xbox 360. Thanks in advance. — Unsigned comment by 75.71.47.6 (talk) at 20:35 on 15 October 2013

If a bug note does not specify which platform it happens on, it indicates that it can occur on all three. If you have adopted her before she disappears, then you cannot adopt a child to "replace" her, however you can adopt up to two children so if you didn't already have a second adopted child you may still do so. The game will continue to recognize Lucia as one of your adopted children even if she is nowhere to be found. — ABCface 03:30, 16 October 2013 (GMT)

Lucia's dagger[edit]

I had just gotten a Dwarf dagger during "Stealing Plans", ran into Lucia, and adopted her, when i got back to Whiterun. When I clicked to give her a gift, 2 things came up, some honey candy I found and the dagger. I want my girl to not be defenseless so I gave her the dagger, she immediately went into her room, and viciously started attacking the dummy...now she never stops, unless I tell her to do chores. Is there a way to get that dagger back, or just get her to ignore it? — Unsigned comment by 24.231.205.199 (talk) at 00:04 on 6 December 2013 (UTC)

Sort of Successfully Debugged Lucia by Trial and Error with Console[edit]

I had a problem finding Lucia and used the console commands "prid 03003f5e" (03003f5e is her REFERENCE ID) and "moveto player" and got no results. I did all kinds of things afterwards which all failed to find the original Lucia (I tried making new Lucias) until I loaded the game to before I ever used the console to do anything with Lucia such as teleporting to her or teleporting her to me, deleting her, making new Lucias, etc. and used "player.moveto 03003f5e" and I was transported to the back of the Bannered Mare, where the original Lucia was, totally bugged, not moving like a statue. She talked to me but with no voice, only her lips were moving. I couldn't talk to her - no dialog options. I fixed all this by opening up the console, selecting her (for those of you who don't know, you select her by opening up the console and clicking on her with the mouse) and typing "markfordelete". This deleted her (I think). Her ID was changed from "03003f5e" to "03003f5e[D]", but her body was still there, unmoved and unchanged. There was no more dialog, she didn't talk to me anymore and I couldn't talk to her. I didn't check whether or not collision with her was off though. Anyway, I fixed this too by selecting her in the console and typing "disable", which made her completely invisible and her collision was turned off too. This effectively REALLY deleted her from the game. From there, I just made a new Lucia by typing "player.placeatme 03003f5f" (03003f5f is her BASE ID). I don't remember if I had to wait 24 in-game hours to make her dialog options available though, but if they aren't, just wait 24 in-game hours, that worked for me when I was still fumbling around before I loaded the game. Finally, I adopted her with no problems. I got this all out of trial and error with the console. Why did I work so hard to adopt her? Lucia and Sofie have it harder than all the other adoptable kids, so I wanted to adopt them. Lucia bugged, but what's the point in adopting somebody if you aren't willing to do a bit of work for 'em right?222.127.52.8 17:28, 6 December 2013 (GMT)

I had a similar issue but was able to get her working more easily by just going to outside the house she is supposed to live in (in my case Breezeholm) and using "prid 05003f5e" and "moveto player". Please note that the first two digits of the of the refid for any item added by DLC or mods changes according to the load order of add-ons (as described here). So her refid is xx003F5E the xx is 03 for some people, in my game her refid starts with 05. All items added by Hearthfire will start with the same two digits so to find the correct refid go to another character added by Hearthfire (e.g Blaise at Katla's Farm), open the console and click on the character's head to get their refid. The first two digits will be the same for Lucia. Drbob (talk) 21:38, 9 February 2014 (GMT)

Speech bug? The other kids call her "AH-Lucy" (PS3)[edit]

I noticed that the other characters put the a at the end of Lucia at the front when they mention her (I played with Ahlucy in the park....). I hadn't realized her name was LUCIA until I read it; I just thought Ahlucy was an odd name. Bug seen on PS3. Bluest (talk) 05:06, 9 March 2014 (GMT)

Alusi perhaps? But yeah, while the subtitle is "I played with Lucia in the park today. I feel sorry for her.", the spoken name is definitely different (PC). Wonder if they changed it after the voice tracks were done. But all internal IDs in the game data use Lucia too. --Alfwyn (talk) 14:59, 9 March 2014 (GMT)

Moved from article[edit]

When you have adopted her she might keeps saying "i can't wait " if you try to interact with her

Without any further information, I'm not sure this is a bug. It's been a while since I've adopted a child, but if you agree to adopt them and then just speak to them again in the same place, don't they just have that one line of dialogue until you visit them at their new home? Lucia DOESN'T disappear[edit]

Tried the console command player.moveto and her REF Id which is 03003f5e and she was in Carlotta Valencia's house, two nights in a row. To fix, you need to move her to you because what happened to me when I moved to where she was, was that she crossed her arms and only kept saying "You're not supposed to be here." the same as Mila Valencia and Carlotta Valencia.

One thing is for certain, I'm never adopting her again. :( — Unsigned comment by 24.18.70.158 (talk) at 17:37 on 28 August 2020 (UTC)
