Lurbuk as Burguk's son[edit]

I can't find any particular dialogue explaining this, despite the relationship tag. I'm not even certain the tags are always correct--looking at Ghorbash, he's marked as Burguk's nephew, but refers to him in dialogue as his brother. Nobody else from that town says anything about Lurbuk's relation, either.

If it's not said in dialogue but it's in the relationship tags, should it be noted? I know it has been removed elsewhere, with an Argonian and Ulfric being marked as friends, since they never interact nor mention each other. Vely►Talk►Email 18:28, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

I'm seeing the same thing (well, I didn't check dialogue--just looking at the relationships in the CSList). I actually think it's kind of interesting in this case. Obviously the one with Ulfric being friends with an Argonian doesn't really make sense, especially since I don't think they'd ever interact, but maybe it would be worth noting even if it doesn't appear in the game at all. eshetalk 18:31, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
Bethesda wouldn't make this if it is false. State it. And if there is an incorrect relationship between two it's either a conceal of true relationship or a mistake. SFK363 17:50, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
Exactly--it could be a mistake. It could just be in there as a way to alter dispositions or from an unimplemented quest. I mean, it would be notable, but we don't exactly have working proof of Ulfric being friends with an Argonian (Scouts-Many-Marshes) or Lurbuk being related to Burguk. We have relationship tags, and as we know, some notes in the CK don't actually have a use in the game and end up being false (such as Lucerne being a Hagraven in that one glade or something--the CK says she's there and has a use, but the game shows that she isn't). Update: This must be a mistake. Lurbuk is never referred to by Dushnikh Yal Orcs, and I even found a relationship stating that Balgruuf the Greater and Nelkir (his son) are brothers. SFK363 08:57, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

Hitchhiker's reference?[edit]

Do you think that Lurbuk being a terrible bard is paying homage to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy's Vogons with terrible poetry? — Unsigned comment by 58.7.254.62 (talk) at 09:49 on 27 February 2014

Its a very vague reference if it were one. Generally Easter Eggs have some sort of clue, but this is just a vague generalisation. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 19:11, 27 February 2014 (GMT)

Removed Bug[edit]

Just to note I removed the "bug" about Lurbuk's corpse falling through the floor and appearing near the bar; this is nothing specific to Lurbuk and can happen with any corpse that clips through geometry, same thing happens to the player if they fall through as the game resets any actor to a default position (dead centre?) that falls in this way. -- Haravikk (talk) 19:37, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
