Mzulft[edit]

Where is Mzulft on the map? Or what is it near? — Unsigned comment by 65.190.66.94 (talk) at 18:32 on 24 November 2011

It is in the Eastmarch hold, here is a map of Skyrim to help, sorry I haven't gone to it yet:) RIM 18:37, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Dwarven Battleaxe of Frost?[edit]

The article claims that machines are most vulnerable to frost damage; however, looking at Dwarven Spheres shows that they are immune to frost damage. So which is it? When fighting the Dwarven Sphere Master, I found that frost had almost no effect on it. Arycon 23:46, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

My guess is that the resistances listed on Dwarven Spheres are taken from the game files, and hence are valid. Can somebody with the relevant data file hacking skills verify my assumption so this article can be updated? Tageborg 19:47, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I've double checked the Dwarven Sphere info against game data, and they indeed have 100% resist frost. It's part of a set of "Dwarven resistances" that are a racial ability shared by all automatons (spiders, spheres, and centurions), so I don't see any way that the original information could be valid. Also, based on a quick couple checks, there's no guaranteed dwarven battleaxe of frost anywhere in the game -- it's far more likely that it was random loot, in which case even the tip about valuable loot isn't necessarily true. So I removed the entire contents of the original edit. --NepheleTalk 04:27, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
I would leave the phrase about lockpicking, though. I found several high-level locks to be picked, so if no one objects I'll add that back in. Arycon 17:40, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Convector inside store room?[edit]

The wiki page states that it is guaranteed you meet one in the storeroom, however, I fully cleared it, and there was no enemy or machine in there, only some loot, and a dwarven battle axe with lightning enchant. 83.109.135.41 03:28, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

The Convector is right there in the hall way right after you enter, on your left, opposite of the Adept level door. It's definitely there. Baron 23:20, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

key in apprentice section[edit]

i found no key in the apprentice section at all let alone for the master lock doors, can anyone help? is this accurate? Killemall22 18:27, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

I too was unable to find any key for the doors behind the Apprentice door as of the newest patch, 1.3.10.0. Going to go ahead and remove that line, as it appears to be inaccurate now. Baron 15:39, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
There's definitely no key for the master lock door. I used "Fus Ro Dah" just to blow stuff around in case it had fallen and I missed seeing it, but there's definitely nothing. Emma of Falkreath (talk) 03:50, 8 April 2018 (UTC) Emmma

Number of zones[edit]

The main text says "Mzulft has three zones.", but the sidebar says that it has 4 zones. 192.139.122.42 21:27, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

NepheleBot originally entered that it has three zones, then corrected it to four. Not sure what the extra zone was, but it's likely the anon who wrote that there are three zones was not taking it into account. Minor Edits 21:35, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
I assume that they are the three contiguous interior zones of the main ruin: 1) Mzulft; 2) Mzulft Boilery; 3) Mzluft Aedrome + (I'm speculating) 4) "Dwarven Storeroom", as described on the page. --JRTalk E-mail 02:58, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Herbane's Bestiary[edit]

I think that someone should mention in the the notes section that this is the place where Herbane traveled to in Herbane's Bestiary: Automations. — Unsigned comment by Awsomedawg (talkcontribs) at 01:48 on 4 June 2013

Dungeon Music ("Silent Footsteps") Plays outside of Mzulft[edit]

I just wanted someone else to check up on this in their game files. I'm kinda hoping it isn't just my copy of Skyrim that plays the dungeon music before you even enter Mzulft, as soon as you get near the Storeroom.

Maybe put this info in the separate Notes or Trivia section? WintersetAltmer (talk) 02:27, 28 August 2013 (GMT)

Dwemer Skeleton?[edit]

There is a room with a master lock door and inside is a skeleton lying on a bed. Do you think this could be the skeleton of a dead Dwemer? If so it would seem like it's the only one in the game. I can't imagine the skeleton is just of an adventurer who just happened to have the key to the door. 71.171.112.31 00:23, 27 September 2014 (GMT)

No. "The Lunar Lorkhan" was written by Fal Droon, who talks about Uriel 7 (eg Patrick Stewart's character) in the past tense. So that skeleton is no older than 200 years old. Best guess is that it's a perished member from the Synod's failed first expedition. Emma of Falkreath (talk) 03:34, 8 April 2018 (UTC) Emma

Abruptly vanishing corpses[edit]

This is behaviour I've seen in other Dwemer ruins - I tend to use a corpse as a temporary local stash for loot which I'll later lug back to the entrance and subsequently back to my base. I always save on doing this - I was using one of the Falmer I killed on the way through the initial zone for this, only to find the corpse had vanished (taking my stuff with it) when I returned to it with further loot from going into the Boilery.

It looks as if some corpses are cleaned up by the game when you transition beyond that cell? Specific corpses such as Gavros Plinius are definitely safe storage but general mobs may not be... had to retrace my steps after reloading which was mildly frustrating. I wonder if someone with more knowledge of the wiki than I would like to note this on the page?
