Disenchanting the Helm of Yngol[edit]

I had no problems doing it, myself. Two caveats, however: one, I had upgraded it to Legendary. I don't know if that makes a difference, and can't go back to an old save to check. Two, the Resist Frost enchantment it gave me only works on rings/amulets, and Redguard Boots. It doesn't seem to apply to any other clothing, but I have no other shoes to check right now. I was hoping to transfer it to a helm that actually fit my character's head (doesn't seem to like Khajiits much), but no such luck. Circuitous 21:53, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

I can't speak for the disenchanting of the item itself, but resist frost enchantments are limited to the neck, fingers, shield and feet area, as mentioned here. Wolok gro-Barok 22:02, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
I was wondering where that info was being kept, thanks for the tip. I guess the Ancient Nords were better at enchanting than we are. Circuitous 00:18, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Resist frost against frost dragons[edit]

I just reached 100% resist frost on my altmer mage but I am still getting damaged by their frost breath. I don't think that resist magic will affect their frost breath but I thought that resist frost would. Is resist frost capped at 85% like resist magic ?

Does Resist Frost affect how slowed you are?[edit]

If you resist Frost Damage, will you be slowed less?--112.207.192.90 08:38, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

Armor[edit]

Might be worth mentioning that you can't enchant chest armor with resist frost (or fire or shock). The page is somewhat misleading in this regard... --EllaFirebird (talk) 00:16, 26 May 2013 (GMT)

It is an oddity that some chest pieces can come with it but you cannot add it yourself, noted on page. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 01:36, 28 May 2013 (GMT)

Getting a Necklace / Shield / etc of Warmth probabilities[edit]

I noticed that the necklace of poison immunity can be obtained more easily between level 12 and level 20 or so, and after some level, poison immunity is nearly impossible.

Are there specific levels where the Necklace / etc of Warmth is not impossible to get at various vendors, etc? I got the Necklace of the fire walker, Necklace of grounding, but the Necklace of Warmth is much more rare--when is it most available? 198.91.176.251 20:11, 24 March 2020 (GMT)

For this enchantment there are no levels that are better, statistically at Level 16 your chances actually get slightly worse as new enchantments become available. The enchantments have the same level increments so at any one level you are as likely to get a resist fire as you are a resist frost.
This enchantment appears in levelled lists from Level 1 and up, and appears in all the generic leveled lists. So you have a random chance at finding on at a merchant, on an enemy or in a random chest. Kiz(email - talk) 20:37, 24 March 2020 (GMT)
At level 42, after about 2.5 hours of continuously "resetting" the vendor at Radiant Raiment, I finally got the rare Necklace of Warmth. I also spent money on other various amulets with enchantments. I started out with about 11 thousand gold, but ended up with less than the 2450 gold that the vendor wanted. I, however, forgot to equip my Barter necklace and Thieves guild hood to discount the price. I probably equipped them and still fell short. I had to sell a few things to have enough to buy the thing. After all that work, I hope that "it" pays off when I meet dragons or vampires.198.91.176.251 21:33, 24 March 2020 (GMT)
