Deletion?[edit]

Well...as much as I like a separate page for them. Shouldn't this be in Lore:Falmer? Also I am by no means a perfect writer but it's hard to understand a lot of what is written. The Betrayed are warped sure but they still are Snow Elves....deep down inside their icy hearts. --Lore Master 07:57, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

This is indeed true but i beleive the falmer and snow elves are two different species. I was playing dawnguard and the snow elf was talking about falmer like they were from another planet. But i think your right about the info being hard to understand. I know almost everything about the elder scrolls so I am asuming alittle to much of others. I will try to clairify. I did that whole page by myself i am very proud of it but definatly open to some good old constuctive critisizm.Thank you.
I think of it this way. Idk if you have ever watch futurama but there are these humans in the sewers who are mutants. Now they are humans deep down but they have a different culture, appearance, religion, history(of course only after when the snow elfs became falmer)ex. Just like falmer and snow elfs. Falmer are mutated versions of snow elfs. I think they both deserve their own pages because of those things.Maybe if it were more recently that the mutated but its been a very very very long time. But of course both pages should definatly mention the strong connection between them. — Unsigned comment by Steven Drake (talkcontribs) at 02:29 on 30 June 2012
I've gone ahead and marked the page for deletion, Lore Master. Either way, this page is mostly lore which is covered elsewhere, or which doesn't belong in the Skyrim namespace. The most I can see this being is a redirect to Skyrim:Falmer. Kitkat TalkContribE-mail 10:26, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
I get that this the info is in other places. But the snow elfs have their own history, culture, backstory ex.The mutated falmer have nothing to do with the snow elf page I made. Only were I Disscuss the Beytrayed. Your telling me mutated blind falmer and snow elfs have to be on the same page. Thats like saying Russian people and American people should share the same page. The only difference is mutated blind falmer used to be snow elfs. A very very long time ago.Why not but imperials and nords together then. Same thing there. Imperials are just a mutated version of another type of human. Different culture different history. So if you going to delete the page I made your going to have to delete the imperials to. After all most of thier info is on another page. — Unsigned comment by Steven Drake (talkcontribs) at 17:08 on 30 June 2012 (UTC)
Even if this page doesn't have content appropriate for this namespace yet, it's subject is almost definitely notable. While this page does need a lot of work, I would say it should be treated as a non-playable race as of now, sort of like the Golden Saints. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 17:08, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
content appropriate? I do not understand it has everything about the snow elfs.Infact most of the overall info is there. But i think you are definatly right. It should betreated like the golden saints.Tell you what you find me more info/lore that isnt just a couple sentences i will put 10 paragraphs on the snow elfs --Steven Drake
The current contents of the article belongs at Lore:Falmer. Splitting that article can be discussed later. I would recommend waiting for the lore article to be updated rather than trying to incorporate this page - I will likely get around to it whenever I feel comfortable with the Dawnguard lore, and this article has poor grammar which isn't up to the standards expected in lorespace. In summary: this article's contents should either be left alone or removed, as it is in the wrong namespace and is soon to be redundant. —Legoless 23:14, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

() Thank you eric snowmane for revamping the snow elf page. i am glad to see it wont be deleted — Unsigned comment by 68.149.33.213 (talk) at 23:52 on 30 June 2012

Thanks for pointing me to this discussion, Legoless. If I may give an opinion, I imagine that the information is largely compatible with what may or may not exist for SR:Falmer, so would a blank and redirect be sufficient and we can incorporate game specific information to the aforementioned as a Dawnguard section, while relocating what isn't redundant to the Lore page? "Dark Elf" and "Dunmer" redirect to one page, along with many other races, so it's not exactly an unprecedented action, nor unreasonable to do. ES(talkemail) 00:06, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
I would think that gamespace should have separate articles, seeing as these new Dawnguard Snow Elves are NPCs, while the vanilla Falmer are creatures(?). I'll be relocating the new lore to Lore:Falmer soon (unless someone beats me to it), but it may be worth discussing splitting it in the future. However, that discussion is for another talk page. For now, we might as well keep this article until the lore article is updated; after that, a redirect may be ideal until Dawnguard comes to PC and we can get some decent info on the Snow Elf race. —Legoless 00:14, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
