Unfinished/Bug Zone?[edit]

Going through this zone and Fort Neugrad in particular made me feel like these two zones weren't tested thoroughly and were intended to be part of quests that either are bugged or didn't make it into the game. Definitely lacks the polish of similar zones with named NPC's and lore stories built in.--Bwross 12:25, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

Pumpkin[edit]

In here there is a small fox named pumpkin. Would there be a way to use Animal Allegiance to get the fox to my house? My girlfriends pet name is pumpkin thought itd be cute. — Unsigned comment by 71.123.205.9 (talk) on December 29, 2011 16:27

The article states that Pumpkin is hostile. This seems to only be the case if you get in an open fight with the spellswords and the fox witnesses it. Just walking right past Pumpkin doesn't make it turn hostile. — Unsigned comment by 75.34.55.137 (talk) at 08:08 on 26 January 2012‎

hidden chest[edit]

Did anyone else find a chest hidden in a plant in the small chamber with the lantern that you enter immediately after entering the cave?--Playerseekingbugs (talk) 22:02, 9 February 2013 (GMT)

Safe place (places that never respawn) not confirmed[edit]

I see that is says on this wiki: Southfringe Sanctum does not respawn; however, the NPCs Spellswords and Bashnag respawns. Is this an unconfirmed safe location? — Unsigned comment by EmperorZurg454 (talkcontribs) at 03:54 on 3 May 2013

Incorrect information[edit]

As far as I can tell there are no iron ore veins in this area. The article mentions that there is one iron ore vein, three moonstone veins, and one silver ore vein. The article says where the three moonstone veins are and the one silver ore vein is. However I did find another silver ore vein actually inside southfringe sanctuary in the area where 'Pumpkin' is. The only mods I am using are a couple of UI mods and the unofficial patches. Can someone correct this info? — Unsigned comment by 69.169.172.128 (talk) at 11:29 on 4 May 2013‎

You're right about the silver ore vein. Two veins can be found there, one inside the cave, one outside the entrance. The iron vein can be found right near the silver ore vein inside the cave. Dreamshadow (talk) 03:24, 8 May 2013 (GMT)
Only veins inside locations are noted in the summary, outside ores are in the notes. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 01:14, 29 May 2013 (GMT)

Directions in first section are wrong[edit]

The directions given in the first paragraph to get to the Sanctuary from Fort Neugrad are totally incorrect. With all the spoilers given through this wiki I can't imagine someone did it on purpose. There is no trail from Fort Neugrad to Falkreath. From Fort Neugrad you take the road south as if to head to the Cyrodil border, past the loop the passes near Bloodlet Throne, but just before the final turn southward there is a trail that leads north to the Sanctuary. Kinda new to the site, didn't want to just barge in and change things so I figured I'd post this. If it's not corrected by someone else in a reasonable amount of time I'll go ahead and make the change myself.RoAnnon (talk) 08:29, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

Don't feel nervous about editing, barging in and changing things is expected and welcomed! Instead of trying to provide detailed directions, I trimmed it down to just stating it's south of the Fort (which is the most major land marker near it). Considering the freeform nature of the game, I think it's better that way unless there's a definite reason to provide more lengthy directions. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 13:27, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

Odd?[edit]

What exactly is "odd" about the item placement or layout of this cave? Personally I think it's one of the most visually stunning and unique in the game, such large grotto esque chambers are very rare indeed. Looking through the enemy camps, there was absolutely nothing unusual about them, or the items placed within and around them. Also, the hostile NPCs in the cave behaved exactly like every other group of subterranean hostiles, there was once again absolutely nothing unusual about them, apart from the fact that their leader is an Orc Mage (which is a rarity outside of player characters). Also the idea that it's "unfinished" is absurd, it's just as meticulously detailed as any other cave, and as I said, it's definitely unique in terms of layout, atmosphere and general "climate". If there was a hole to the void somewhere I never noticed it, and I usually walk pretty slowly in Skyrim when I'm not in combat. I think that note should be removed from the page, it's clearly just one editor's biased opinion. — Unsigned comment by 110.141.149.88 (talk) at 07:27 on 15 February 2021 (UTC)
