If the battleaxe is sold instead of used to learn the related enchantment, is there a way to actually have that enchantment? Nothing stops a merchants inventory from respawning, so if you don't return within 48 hours or less (when the inventory respawns) then it is gone forever. Silence is Golden^{Break the Silence} 18:36, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

And so why do some items seem to remain forever in a merchant's inventory? For example, I sold Fjola's wedding band to Farengar in Whiterun and now he tries continuously to sell it to me... and I can assure you that more than 48 hours have passed (probably more than several months in-game)— Unsigned comment by 151.19.70.252 (talk) at 19:08 on 13 August 2018 UTC
