Sybille stentor not being detected by detect life; only by detect dead?[edit]

She does not get detected by detect life at all, I have to cast detect dead to detect her, is this of significant importance? 72.95.140.180 00:44, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

There are several references in your conversations with her as to why you might see her using Detect Undead, but no, it's not particularly important. --67.183.139.2 13:06, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Turns out she also resists healing hands Signature 13:40, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
Is she a vampire? She talks about how she served Torygg's father, and the player can inquire as to how she has retained her "youthful" appearance. She never leaves the palace as well. All the better, she gives you a quest to go kill vampires, which is reminiscent of Oblivion:Information at a Price (vampires sensing other vampires and being drawn to their luxurious life). --46.117.247.223 13:09, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Yes, she's a vampire and all vampires are undead. That info is now displayed in the infobox; I doubt anything more is needed. --NepheleTalk 17:05, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

() yep, she is a vampire, if you kill her with the dawnbreaker it can cause an explosion which what it does when you use it to kill the undead. Mr.Scryer.86.179.18.163 21:29, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

May also want to mention that the wizard Melaron mentions to "keep out of the dungeon when she (Sybille) is having a bad day".. "Let's just say the headmans axe is not the only way for a Solitude jail prisoner to die." Stalks 12:53, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
Well that was a suprise for me I had no idea. But at least she's the nicest vampire I met in the game, and the only one that survived after meeting me. --Heartseeker 18:02, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
Can someone type in the wikia that Melaran also hints that she is a vampire? — Unsigned comment by 85.230.54.92 (talk) at 16:09 on 25 March 2012

Sybille Stentor gone missing[edit]

Shortly after becoming Thane of Solitude and purchasing a residence there, I noticed Sybille Stentor had gone missing. She is no longer at her usual location near the throne in the Blue Palace. I checked in the Castle Dour dungeons and the Thalmor Headquarters as well, since I read dialogue references that inferred those were possible hang outs for her. She was at none of those locations. At least she is a non-essential character and I had already done the quest that she offered. I still would have liked to get more destruction training from her though. Does anyone know where to find her? Or how? Update: I found her in a bedroom of the Blue Palace that has the enchanting table. She appears to sleep all the time now. I woke her up and engaged her in combat (after I killed all the guards in the castle). She followed me outside of the Blue Palace into sunlight and did not burst into flames. I then submitted to her and waited for 24 hours with her standing right in front of me. Nothing happened to her and she returned to her bed. I was afflicted with vampirism during this time. I turned shortly afterwards and fed on her. She is the perfect feeding source since she sleeps all the time. 216.67.23.239 20:27, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Vakl

I have also noticed that she sleeps all the time after becoming Thane of Solitude. I have yet to find a time when she is not sleeping.--Droviin 03:13, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
Same thing happened in my game on the 360. Constantly sleeping.--149.160.118.51 23:25, 15 June 2013 (GMT)

Feeding on Sybille[edit]

Really? She's the only NPC I've been able to find who doesn't give the feed prompt, I just get talk/pickpocket when she's in bed. I'm a Dawnguard vampire, not a Vampire Lord. --Morrolan (talk) 21:06, 13 March 2013 (GMT)

As I said in the edit summary, I did it while I was typing; literally. I saw your edit, booted my PS3 and tried. I don't have Dawnguard but I see no reason it would conflict with feeding. Does it work with Hert too? Elakyn (talk) 21:26, 13 March 2013 (GMT)
Haven't tried with Hert or Hern actually. I'll try Hert next time I'm playing. Dawnguard makes an awful lot of changes to vampires, it's possible that they added a check to make sure you don't get to feed on vampires in the DLC. --Morrolan (talk) 04:50, 14 March 2013 (GMT)
Well I'll try with Hert if I can ever find her sleeping, that is. :) --Morrolan (talk) 00:46, 15 March 2013 (GMT)

24/7 Sleeping After "The Wolf Queen Awakened" - Bug or Feature?[edit]

I know the Unofficial Skyrim Patch "fixes" her 24/7 sleep cycle post "The Wolf Queen Awakened," but are we really sure it's a bug? She acts pretty shady throughout the Wolf Queen questline and considering that (spoiler alert) she's a vampire, and many of Potema's minions are vampires, isn't it at least "possible" that she was basically de-powered by Potema's eventual defeat? She's the only member of the court that fights sending anyone to check on Wolfskull Cave and insists that her "scrying has shown nothing." Now, this could mean either that she's in league with the necromancers or she's sure that the necromancers will fail unless someone interferes and sends, say, a Dragonborn whose soul would naturally serve as a bit of a beacon for Potema. I realize she was supposed to berate you for accidentally awakening the Wolf Queen, but she's the only one that thinks that it's your fault and this was cut content, so I don't think that counts. Anyway, what are your thoughts? Has anyone asked the devs? Black jack king (talk) 18:04, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Sybille has "blot out the sun" dialogue[edit]

According to this webpage on gamesas: sybille-stentor-vampire-t292803.html she yells quest-related dialogue that seems like it would attract attention. Is this considered okay, or should a mod fix it? — Unsigned comment by 99.179.145.178 (talk) at 04:52 on 28 February 2022‎ (UTC)
