Armor[edit]

If you happen to drop armor near Torsten, or Silda the Unseen, the NPC will run up and ask if they can have it. I have not noticed if this is any/all beggars, or just these characters. I also tried dropping food, clothes, and weapons, but nothing else triggered this conversation. Anyone know anything more about this event? Babeinarmor 03:08, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

Lore[edit]

"Sometime before the events of Skyrim, Torsten had a daughter named Fjotli, who was brutally murdered and robbed by the rival of the Thieves Guild, the Summerset Shadows. Due to this, Torsten becomes a valuable client of the guild by requesting the destruction of the Summerset Shadows."

That's not true at all. Niranye reveals during the Thieves Guild quest that the Summerset Shadows weren't responsible for the death of Fjotli Cruel-Sea, however they managed to steal jewelry off her body (that's how they operate, by robbing the dead). --Arkhon 04:52, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Stuck in a Mountain[edit]

I found him. He's in a mountain. The quest marker is accurate. I actually saw him in a mountain. On PS3, is there a way to get him unstuck? — Unsigned comment by 65.175.176.184 (talk) on 1 May 2012

The latest big patch fixed it.65.175.176.184 12:07, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

Not permanently essential[edit]

Playing on Xbox360, I did the Summerset Shadows special job for the thieves guild. I would assume that Torsten is essential up to that point. Later on he was murdered by a Frost Dragon, which suggests that his essential status expires, probably after completing his related quest. It might be nice to have this indicated on his page, even though it's not a terribly important fact.username12345 23:58, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
