Werewolves in the Wild?

Can anyone tell me if there are any werewolves that are just random fights? cause I havent come across one yet and that sucks cause I really wanna fight one. I havent done the champions crap cause I dont want to. I'm a vampire that wants to kick some wolf ass! How hard is it to create a few werewolves on top of mountain areas? — Unsigned comment by 67.71.141.222 (talk) at 19:57 on 18 December 2011

Sorry, there arn't any wild werewolves. The only way you can fight a werewolf is during Ill Met By Moonlight. RIM 20:22, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
It is possible to occasionally find a live werewolf in the Silver Hand bases, although you normally only visit those during the Companions questline and doing so at other times may break that quest chain (among other things). It is also unlikely to provide much of a challenge since they're locked in cells or cages and can't attack you (although some of your attacks can strike them through the bars), and not particularly powerful as enemies even if you release them. - ND — Unsigned comment by 174.4.166.247 (talk) at 01:44 on 19 December 2011
they will attack you if you pick the lock of the cage and release them. a volkihar master vampire is far more of a challenge than a werewolf. 109.151.19.4 17:34, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
Actually, you can encounter Werewolves in the wild but only at Night. These are ones that can appear as "Werewolf Brutes". The ones in the Silver Hand Bases are just "Werewolf". Chance of finding a werewolf in wild is just like finding the Headless Horseman except werewolves will not be on the road.— Unsigned comment by 172.129.27.135 (talk) at 17:05 on 22 January

() Do you have any ideas to where any could possibly be other than in silver hand bases or sinding because I want to fight werewolf to werewolf ( the headless horseman is a lot of the time on the road from whiterun to a burial site where he died cause there is a heAd on the ground.) — Unsigned comment by 75.107.245.28 (talk) at 00:49 on 2 March 2012

If there are not any wild werewolves, should we not remove that information from the page? PMac321 11:10, 13 May 2012 (UTC)PMac321
According to an anon above, wild werewolves can in fact be found. So no, that information should not be removed. Wolok gro-Barok 11:22, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
But I have never seen one, so I looked it up, and everything I've found makes it seem like a rumour. I've also seen mods that claim to add werewolves to the wilderness. If they are already there, why are there mods adding them? I don't have Skyrim for the computer, but could anybody look into the scripting and find out? PMac321 14:39, 13 May 2012 (UTC)PMac321

() The Wild Werewolves certainly exist; in the CSList, they're in the "Werewolf Faction" as:

  • Werewolf Vargr (0x000a1976)
  • Werewolf Beastmaster (0x000a1975)
  • Werewolf Skinwalker (0x000a1974)
  • Werewolf Brute (0x000a1973)
  • Werewolf Savage (0x000a1972)

Whether they actually appear in game is another matter entirely, but they are real. Kitkat TalkContribE-mail 14:50, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

There are no werewolves in the wild, only a few in interiors. Vely►Talk►Email 14:59, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
I have no idea if there are werewolves in the wild but that list is genuine as i have encountered werewolf brutes in silver hand bases. 217.137.157.197 14:15, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
Oops, seems I missed the part where "silver hand bases" were mentioned, really sorry about that! I'll double check which ones appear there. Again, my apologies. Vely►Talk►Email 14:42, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm seeing two werewolves in Gallows Rock and one in Driftshade Sanctuary. They can all be any of those types of werewolves, as they're on a leveled list. However, I'm only seeing the three. There are some dead ones laying around, though. Vely►Talk►Email 14:54, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, i encountered the werewolf brute in a cage in one of the SH bases, not sure if it was the gallows rock or the other one. Mr.Scryer. 217.137.157.197 14:57, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
Gallows Rock has the two caged ones. Vely►Talk►Email 15:28, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

() With the Dawnguard Add-On, werewolves will appear in the wild. I have had it happen twice already — Unsigned comment by 72.134.30.220 (talk) at 23:37 on 27 June 2012

I don't have Dawnguard but I do have the latest beta update on PC, and I killed a wild hostile werewolf around Dawnstar today. (it was at nighttime) 67.81.129.243 05:43, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

Wild Werewolves

I noticed an edit here that removed a bug. Above the table of contents, there is a sentence saying "Werewolves can also be encountered as hostile creatures in the wild. They appear only at night, and can be detected by an unusually loud wolf howl." I'm uncertain how to check locations in the CK, so I can't verify, but removing the bug for that reason conflicts with that sentence. I added the bug back in since that sentence had not been removed by anyone. Which one is true? Do wild werewolves exist or not?

I know there's another discussion section already on this page, but that had conflicting replies. --Velyanthe 15:30, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

I came across a wild, hostile werewolf around Dawnstar, as I added above. I don't have Dawnguard yet as I am on PC.67.81.129.243 05:43, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
I do have Dawnguard and I've seen them. And that was during the day. Still seem rare though. — Unsigned comment by 174.29.230.40 (talk) at 20:00 on 15 July 2012

I have been trolling through the woods and the wilds everywhere, but still no werewolf joy. (Magskall 04:03, 28 August 2012 (UTC))

Silver Weapon weakness

Is a player with lycanthropy only weak to silver weapons in Beast Form, or all the time? The article isn't very clear. -Abyssal 08:13, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

I believe it is o ly while in beast form.--Ninja1eye 18:23, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Sprinting Power Attacks No Longer Ragdoll Mammoths

Does anyone know which patch did this? I know it wasn't very realistic to be able to ragdoll a Mammoth but it would have been nice if Bethesda actually put this in the patch notes instead of stealth implementing this nerf.--DagmarH 00:21, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

I don't think you ever could, I don't think there is any way to knock down a mammoth--Ninja1eye 18:24, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Does Ice Form and Parylysis effects not work on mammoths then? I've never tried, but had to ask.--75.207.184.35 20:04, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Extended beastform bug sans ring

The "beastform lasts really long or forever" bug does NOT require the Ring of Hircine. I don't have the ring yet, haven't even yet come across the quest that gives it, and I'm still getting beastforms that last an hour or more while I go get lunch, and when I come back she's still wereshifted. Some of these are probably permanent, but I've not yet let one run for eternity to find out. Waiting works at least some of the time, but just now it took more than 3 in-game hours of it to get back to my breton form. I had fed 5 times that transformation, and in general, I seem to have problems with badly extended shifts more often when I do a lot of feeding than when I go the whole shift without feeding. Is it maybe accidentally adding 30 mins per feeding instead of the 30 secs its supposed to? --98.214.211.253 18:24, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

My boyfriend is experiencing this issue too, even if he does not feed, and he has no ring. He simply doesn't turn back. It's incredibly annoying and makes being a werewolf useless. Any fix? -82.34.23.39 20:27, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
I have the opposite problem. Beast form doesn't seem to last longer than the 2 1/2 minutes no matter how many bodies I've fed on.108.84.145.210 01:38, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Claw Damage

Where does the information on the claw damage on the mainpage come from? While attempting to avoid the bounty during the quest To Kill An Empire I turned into a werewolf just as I crossed over the bridge. The result was I was stuck forever in wolf form HOWEVER I could access the character menu and view the active effects. Which for that level 48 or so assassin included +60 fortify unarmed from being a werewolf. If the base damage is infact twenty then the maximum is 80 not 70 as the mainpage would suggest. --Vukodlak 21:26, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

So the new dawnguard note always applied with the damage increasing by 10 ay level 46 --Vukodlak 15:44, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Ring of Hircine is Still Working

Even after I cure myself, the Ring of Hircine still works. I'm wondering if anyone else has this glitch. Usually I wouldn't be complaining about a glitch as great as this, but I want to become a Vampire Lord in Dawnguard and I want to make sure that no stupid glitch will prevent this. P.S. I'm on Xbox. — Unsigned comment by ChaosZeus999 (talkcontribs) on 9:21, 19 June 2012

If your wearing the ring of hicrine when your cured of lycanthropy it will continue to function it will have no effect on anything just don't turn into a werewolf and feed after becoming a vampire. Even if you never curd yourself it have no effect on Dawnguard. Becoming a Vampire Lord cures you of lycanthropy anyway.
--Vukodlak 20:42, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Regaining Beast Blood

Yesterday I installed Dawnguard, I went to speak with "Aela the Huntress" and was given a dialog option requesting that she take me to the under-forge in order to restore my beast blood. Has anyone else experienced this? Unfortunately I had to leave for work, so I was unable to verify if the werewolf transformation was indeed restored. Theloneronin827 20:57, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

With Dawnguard Aela can restore the beastblood once.
--Vukodlak 13:33, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
It does work. I read online about Dawnguard that when you've been transformed into a vampire lord and finished the Volkihar quest line, you are able to go back to the Companions and restore your beastblood. I'm tempted to do this just because the face changer refuses to work with vamps but I want to be able to return to being a vampire lord afterwards. Can anyone confirm that? — Unsigned comment by 74.138.54.77 (talk) at 17:27 on 28 June 2012
So if you cure your lycanthropy can you become a werewolf again or not? Can't seem to find a definitive answer to that. - Zac — Unsigned comment by 98.209.197.210 (talk) at 03:12 on 29 June 2012
Yes, this appears to be the case, and is noted on the article in the 'Cure' section. More details should be added as time goes on. ABCface 04:43, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
We need to determine too whether regaining the Beast Blood with Dawnguard can be done multiple times like Vampirism or is just a second, final chance. Anyone with Dawnguard willing to test it out would be just dandy. -- 186.204.32.128 06:57, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh, and one more thing: whether the Purity and Totem missions can be done when you get wolfy the second time around. -- 186.204.32.128 07:01, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Can werewolves be summoned permanently using the dead thrall spell?

I am trying to make a werewolf character who has an additional pack of wolves who follow him. I was wondering if this is possible. — Unsigned comment by 24.7.124.132 (talk) at 20:25 on 5 July 2012

No, first werewolves aren't valid targets for the dead thrall spell in werewolf form, and two turning into a werewolf(or Vampire Lord for that matter). Kills your dead thralls.--Vukodlak 00:26, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

After completing the companions questline you can unlock a Totem which changes your howl to summon wolves to you. A Dawnguard werewolf perk allows you to upgrade them (to Ice wolves or Werewolves). It's more temporary, but will help you with that character. — Unsigned comment by 2.24.41.80 (talk) at 17:58 on 2 August 2012

Howl cool-down

Should it be mentioned that howling works on the dragon shout cool-down period? Lizard Man 08:28, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Regarding spell effects carrying over to beast form...

Couple of questions. First off, I know racial abilities don't carry over, so my Breton won't retain the 25% magic resist. But do other passive, non-racial effects carry over (viz., the Blessing of Mara, Magic Resistance perks from the Alteration skill tree, and the Lord Stone buffs)? I'm on Xbox, so there's no way for me to check personally. Could any PC users out there answer this for me off the top of your head, and/or verify via the console or something?

My second question is, I see on the wiki article that spell effects carry over. Do the time constraints change at all? e.g., if I cast Ebonyflesh, with Stability and other Alteration perks, do I still get the 90+ seconds of 3x strength Ebonyflesh as a werewolf? Or is it shorter, longer, less or more effective?

And while I'm here, in addition to the above methods of protection, are there any other ways to bolster defense as a werewolf?

--Anonymous 08:53, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

I can answer your second question. Yes they do, as the spell duration/effect perks alter the spell when it is cast not while it is in effect and off the top of my head I think perks do not carry over. Lizard Man 20:18, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. I'm a bit confused though; you're saying that Ebonyflesh WILL last as long and be as powerful, correct? And regarding the first question, you're saying you don't think I'll get the 30% from Alteration's Magic Resistance perks? Another user on this page mentioned that the reason racial abilities don't carry over is because the PC race is changed to "Werewolf" in beast form. It seems to me that non-racial effects should carry over. Maybe that's just wishful thinking though. Anonymous 22:16, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
All spells cast before transforming will carry over for the normal duration this includes spells like ebonyflesh or dragonskin. Perks and Standing stones also carry over. So with the Lord Stone, Agent of Mara and Three Ranks in Magic Resistance you have 70% Resist Magic. The only reason racial abilities are lost is because when you transform your race changes to werewolf, it doesn't extend to anything else, with one exception dead thralls for whatever reason die when you transform. --Vukodlak 07:34, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
What about racial Powers? If you use one of them (say, Histskin or Berserk), will you still have the benefits of the power while in Beast Form? Felindre 20:08, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

() If you activate the power, histskin, berserk, dragonskin etc before transforming it will remain active for the normal duration. Its no different then any other spell. --Vukodlak 07:08, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Animal Vigor doesn't apply to Ring of Hircine?

I think Animal Vigor only applies when you use your Beast Form Power. I didn't see any increase when I was transformed under the Ring of Hircine. Can anyone else confirm? Or perhaps you need to wait for your next transformation for the perk to take effect? (Xbox 360) — Unsigned comment by 99.35.130.87 (talk) at 07:02 on 9 July 2012

What indication do you have of that, if you're playing on Xbox? You can't access the character menu, which means you can actually see values for your attributes. I haven't done any real testing with the Ring of Hircine, but it seems to me that if the other perks still apply, there's no reason Animal Vigor shouldn't. I imagine a PC player could confirm in about five seconds though. God, I wish we had access to the console. :( --Anonymous 11:28, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
You can still bring up your perk tree and see your values on the bottom of the screen next to the corresponding bars. After obtaining the perk I did not see any increase in my Health or Stamina. They were both 100pts above normal. With the perk they should be 200pt above normal. (100 from transforming, and another 100 from the perk) - OP — Unsigned comment by 99.22.92.182 (talk) at 05:15 on 12 July 2012
Found the answer after playing with my character some more. The perk doesn't take effect until your next transformation. And both Beast Form and Ring of Hircine are effected by the perk. - OP

Vampire + Werewolf

Can anyone confirm that the bug "If a non-werewolf contracts Sanguinare Vampiris but has not become a vampire yet, becoming a werewolf will not cure vampirism. This will progress to the player being both vampire and werewolf at the same time. Since the werewolf feeding ability overrides that of the vampire, the player cannot feed and there will be no way to prevent progressing to Stage Four vampirism." is still working? I tried to become both using this method but was unsuccessful on four different characters. If it makes a difference I attempted it with two bretons, one nord and a dunmer (all male) with the xbox on 1.6 — Unsigned comment by 71.17.171.74 (talk) at 08:21 on 9 July 2012

Yes, it still works, You have to exploit certain things, I'm being vague so bethesda does patch it but it does indeed still work. Werewolf feeding does not override the vampire's feeding until you transform into beast form willingly for the first time. you lose the vampire eyes and vampire sight power. 217.137.157.197 11:03, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

Howl of Terror/Totem of Terror questions!

With my testing pre-Dawnguard I came to the conclusion that the Fear Howl caps out at level 25... Does anyone know what it is with the Totem of Terror Perk? And by extension, if there is any way to raise it by doing the totem quests or using illusion perks. And if the vampirism & Werewolf at same time bug still works, does the Vampirism passive that boosts illusion apply to the Howl of terror? Balnagghar 09:06, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

Sprint Speed vs. Horses

This page lists one of the advantages of being a werewolf as "Very fast sprint (faster than horses)," but on the "Transport" page, the statistics listed show that horses walk, run, and sprint faster than werewolves. I don't know which is true, but this contradiction should be addressed. Thanks. username12345 22:07, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

Agreed. Also note that run speed depends on the height of the character and the male werewolf is higher than the female, so it MAY be possible that the male can sprint a bit faster than the female.--Skyhirider 22:10, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
Try sprinting as a werewolf then get on a horse the question of speed will be put to rest.--166.137.88.16 01:59, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
I realize that ground can be covered much more quickly as a werewolf due to the HUGE difference in stamina between werewolves and horses. However, the page states that werewolves sprint faster than horses, not that they can sprint for longer than horses. The Transport page indicates that MaxHorseSpeed > MaxWerewolfSpeed, i.e. horses sprint faster than werewolves. I think the wording on the werewolf page ought to be changed. Maybe just "Very fast sprint," or "Long sustained sprint." Or we could leave it. It's probably not causing too much confusion. username12345 19:17, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

NPCs that ignore Werewolves

The pilgrims on the route to High Hrothgar do not care if you are a werewolf. Why, I do not know, but that might be worth mentioning. --DaedalusMachina 06:50, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Major Camera Bug

I was in my Werewolf form and the duration ran out during a coup de grace animation. The animation cut short when I transformed back to my normal form, but the camera remained where it was. I could still control my character but, the camera wouldn't move.

Fast traveling wouldn't solve this bug, neither would resting, or saving and reloading. — Unsigned comment by 24.218.183.44 (talk) at 02:44 on 30 July 2012

You could try becoming a werewolf again and letting the time expire, or getting another animation and having it finish. The Silencer speaksTalk 01:57, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Werewolf changes race

When saving whilst transformed, i've noticed that the file description lists your race as 'Werewolf'. Not sure if it deserves a note on the page, but I did think it was an interesting distinction. — Unsigned comment by 2.24.41.80 (talk) at 18:04 on 2 August 2012

The same applies to Vampire Lord, its the reason you lose your racial abilities while transformed, --Vukodlak 02:06, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
For people who have both lycanthropy and vampirism, do werewolves still retain vampirism in beast form? For instance, if I have Necromage, will flesh spells and/or Fortify Health Regen potions still last 1.5x as long when I go to beast form? Are there any other consequences to having both afflications besides being unable to revert to stage 1 vampirism? -- 50.131.64.152 05:46, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Vampiric Werewolf

So, this may sound strange lol, but i want to be a vampire and a werewolf at the same time. i know that there is a bug with a werewolf's Beast Blood ability, meaning it doesn't work. and i know this because I've experienced having witbane and bone break fever while i was a werewolf. i just don't remember how i did it. anyone have any ideas before i become a werewolf? i am a khajiit with the Dawnguard version.

Becoming a werewolf cures vampirism, but it doesn't(always)remove the disease Sanguinare Vampiris that causes vampirism, so if you aren't a vampire but have the disease its possible that after becoming a werewolf the disease can still run its course turning you into a vampire. Also I hear the blood potions in dawnguard can turn you into a vampire. So avoid the blood potions and make sure you aren't infected with Sanguinare Vampiris when you become a werewolf.--Vukodlak 02:05, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

I have both abilities. I play as a Khajiit. At first, I contracted Sanguinare vampiris and cured myself via Falion a few times (long before Dawnguard). Then I started the Companions' quest, becoming a werewolf and 'permanently' curing myself of vampirism for a third or fourth time (can't remember). When Dawnguard came out, I started encountering more vampires in the wild and contracted Sanguinare vampiris, even though I was a werewolf! I cured myself, thinking I'd mess up the Totems of Hircine quest. Then I got Sanguinare vampiris, again, and decided to just let it run its course. Now, I am a full-fledged vampire with all the level four abilities. NPCs don't attack me, and I have beast form and can become a werewolf whenever I want. I sided with Dawnguard (again, not wanting to mess up the Totems of Hircine), so I cannot become a vampire lord with this character, but as of now I'm a hybrid 'werepire' or whatever, friendly to the civilized. Is this a bug? If so, it's a good one! BTW, I haven't gotten far enough through the main quest to be tested by Isran with the sun beams, so I don't know if he'll know my true nature or not. I'll let you know as soon as I can. 134.176.247.178 14:32, 24 August 2012 (UTC)TDBostick

No second cure?

With the Dawnguard plug-in, it is possible to cure yourself of lycanthropy and then have it restored by Aela. I just tried it, and it did work, but it seems that if you become a werewolf a second time, you are stuck that way forever. At least, when I tried to cure myself a second time, nothing happened when I pressed "Active Flame of the Harbinger," even though I still have three witches heads in my inventory. I waited 24 hours, with no change. That's all the testing I've done though. But if I'm right, it seems like a note should be made to go along with the Aela/Dawnguard note. Thanks. username12345 08:50, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Did you do Purity, yet? It's very important, sometimes. — Unsigned comment by Br3admax (talkcontribs) at 09:13 on 4 August 2012
I have no idea if you should be able to cure yourself a second time, however you could try becoming a vampire and then cure your vampirism. Its a bit long winded but it should work. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 09:24, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Yeah I did both Purity quests (Farkas and Vilkas). And this was really more an experiment driven by curiosity than a problem I'm having. That vampire idea sounds like it would probably work though. Still, I think it should be noted on this page that if you become a werewolf a second time, you won't be able to cure yourself using witch heads (unless anyone has evidence to the contrary). Thanks for the input. username12345 09:29, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Becoming werewolf after dawnguard?

If I cured myself of lycanthropy then I do dawnguard, and finish it, will I get the choice to get lycanthropy again? --0bsidian0gre 06:13, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

I believe so.As Aela can infect you with Lycanthropy multiple times with the addition of Dawnguard.--Skyrimplayer 13:57, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
You will have to cure yourself of vampirism and then talk to Aela again. Keep in mind that you can join the Dawnguard and get Serana to give you the vampire lord power so even if you don't join the Volkihar vampires you can still become a vampire lord. RIM 15:03, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Werewolf console cure?

I do not want to be a werewolf anymore yet the cure quest is bugged is there some other way to cure it? Maybe with the console? — Unsigned comment by 70.119.230.173 (talk) at 19:27 on 5 August 2012

If you can't complete the cure using a Glenmoril witch head, you can become a Vampire Lord through Lord Harkon or Serana with Dawnguard installed (this cures your lycanthropy). ABCface 22:38, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Also, in case you don't have Dawnguard, the Console Commands page says this:
  • player.removespell 00092c48 will remove the "Beast Form" power from the player's spell book.
I'm not sure if it technically means you are cured, or if it just removes the ability to turn into your Beast Form though, since I don't play on PC. ABCface 23:14, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Howl of Terror

An editor added a note that the Howl of Terror also causes nearby wolves to come to your aid. Is this true? --XyzzyTalk 04:47, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

I thought that wolves always allied with you while in beast form. —Legoless 12:23, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

While we're on the subject, could someone add the different magnitudes for the Howl of Terror? With or without Totem and perk? All I know is that even with the Totem of Fear, high level NPCs and creatures don't flee when shouting (likely lvl50+). Elakyn 20:17, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

Curing the regained Lycanthropy in Dawnguard

Hey, I just noticed something and tried this for myself. I've completed the Companions questline and cured both Vilkas and Kodlak. I cured myself of lycanthropy as well and when Dawnguard came out, I decided to get it back from Aela to test all the perks that came with it. Then I tried to go back to Ysgramor's tomb and found I couldn't cure it using a Witch's Head and the Flame of the Harbinger a second time. Does this happen for anyone else here? Is this a bug or do I have to cure my lycanthropy via the vampirism method?

Same thing happened to me (in fact, I created this same topic, four topics up from here). Seems like you can't do the witch head cure a second time. username12345 00:23, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Feeding

How do you feed as a werewolf? I want to get perks, but I don't know how to interact with the bodies. I'm unable to. 98.217.230.157 14:04, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Any dead NPCs can be fed on by "activating" the body (select it just as you would to loot a body) and choosing the "Feed" option. ABCface 14:22, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Ring of Hircine Glitch

With the Ring of Hircine Bug in which you can keep the werewolf powers by having it equipped is it possible then to be both a vampire lord and werewolf and be able to level up both their perk tree's at the same time or not? I am currently a werewolf and only need to finish its perk tree but I don't want to have to give up the werewolf to get the vampire lord and level it up. I don't want to have to choose whether to be a vampire or werewolf I want to be able to be both as both are useful. I play on the xbox 360. This be so much easier if with the Dawngaurd DLC that Aela would make you a werewolf again a infinite amount of times so I could just go back and forth when I want.Darkcaptain3 23:23, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
