CSS[edit]

At the time of writing, we use <small> to make the ID, well, small. Personally, I suggest that (if we could get someone to change the CSS page for the site) we add a class specifically for IDs, since they're used so often. Presumably this would be named 'ref' or something.
This would let people using certain browsers, such as Opera, to override how IDs are displayed if they'd like. If skins were given custom CSS for each user (I don't believe this is currently set up), this would mean anyone could change it regardless of their browser.
Failing this, at the very least, I think the <small> tag should be replaced with <span style="font-size: x-small"> merely as a matter of principle.

I can't edit it myself because it's (semi?) protected. Maybe it should be protected differently—so it's editable by registered users, just not anonymous ones. ~ Midna 16:57, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Just as clarification, the reason I can't edit it could potentially also be because the wiki doesn't use the exact same settings as, say, Wikipedia. While the page is only semi-protected, I'm still not able to edit it, and the page on semi-protection isn't terribly clear on the specifics—just what it's used for. ~ Midna 17:28, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
The protection on the page is properly set to semi-protected; as explained on the Protection Policy page, semi-protected pages can only be edited by Autoconfirmed users. The only difference from Wikipedia is in the details of what is necessary to be autoconfirmed -- at UESP accounts must have been created more than 4 days ago and have at least 10 edits. Since you only created your account two days ago and only have six edits, your account is not yet autoconfirmed. --NepheleTalk 19:49, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
Ummm...better late than never? ;) See the updated docs for details on the relevant CSS styles and what they do. Robin Hood  (talk) 01:24, 20 December 2013 (GMT)
