Note that Helseth's Robe is a Frostguard Robe in name only. It has neither the appearance nor the enchantment of a regular Frostguard Robe. --TheRealLurlock Talk 22:53, 18 October 2007 (EDT)

Killing?[edit]

Can i kill him when i finished the Tribunal storyline? I want his robe, hehe. — Unsigned comment by Lucky the Cat Guy (talkcontribs) on 14 August 2008

You can, but be prepared for a fight. Even if you taunt him into attacking you, the whole palace guard will attack. –RpehTCE 01:28, 14 August 2008 (EDT)
Oh thats hardly a problem. I tested and killed him in 1 hit, and killed the guards in less than 5 minutes. I think my character is overpowered. haha - Lukki Kaht Guile 03:56, 15 August 2008 (EDT)

if you taunt him into a fight and let him strike you first the guards wont attack you at all. atleast not on pc goty so this information is either outdated or simple false. taunting him is definitly the best way since frenzy spells dont work because of the ring.

I'm able to frenzy him into attacking me just fine, the ring didn't reflect it at all. Just a quick slap in the face of 100pt Frenzy Humanoid for 1 second and he was swinging away at me with no guard trouble. 82.45.108.113 04:25, 25 January 2014 (GMT)

So.... roleplaying question[edit]

ever since i first played morrowind GOTY, i've wondered if Hlaalu Helseth is actually of the Hlaalu family? it's trivial, but something i wish i knew, haha. i know occasionally Dunmer swap their names (lastname firstname) does anyone know? is there something i haven't read?— Unsigned comment by NordWolf9589 (talkcontribs) on September 10, 2009

Read A Game At Dinner. Also have a look at Grasping Fortune.Janmojzis 14:26, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
He either belongs to House Hlaalu or House Dagoth. I think that House Hlaalu is more likely.— Unsigned comment by 121.79.25.114 (talk) on 27 June 2010
Of course it's House Hlaalu. A Game at Dinner makes that pretty clear. The idea that the King of Morrowind belongs to House Dagoth is preposterous. rpeh •TCE 09:41, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
He is a member of House Hlaalu, if that is what you are asking. He joined them when he moved back to Morrowind. He is not a member of the Hlaalu Family though. Helseth just like his mother Barenziah are of the Ra'Athim Clan. He, as many other great house members, use the house name before their full name as a show of authority i take it. Muthsera Hlaalu Velanda Omani, King Hlaalu Athyn Llethan or King Hlaalu Helseth Ra'Athim for example. --The Hlaalu (talk) 15:32, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

duke and king[edit]

Is he the ths highest rank member of hlaalu in morrowind or it is Duke Vedam Dren or the master of house hlaalu in Narsis? (Vvardfell 03:11, 27 November 2010 (UTC))

Duke Vedam Dren is the Duke of Vvardenfell. He has nothing to do with mainland politics. --Brf 13:10, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Then who have the highest rank in house hlaalu?(Vvardfell 02:59, 28 November 2010 (UTC))
Dren is a Grandmaster. The King is not a member, so he has no rank at all. --Brf 03:33, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I am not talking about his rank in the game,is the one who can control all hlaalu in morrowind P.S. Where do you live, how can you answer a question of a chinese so quick(Vvardfell 04:27, 28 November 2010 (UTC))
Most of the answers to the questions you're asking are not known. rpeh •TCE 09:51, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Helseth alive after getting his ring[edit]

King Helseth (still alive after getting ring) The key to doing it is speed.

1.mark scroll in front of king

2. Maz ring vivec

3.maz ring mournhold

4. Recall scroll

5. Kill king (no skills or anything). **note I used trueflame it has magic damage, not sure if it matters since magic damage hits before physical damage. I during the attack animation, talk to the king in between the magic and physical damage hitting and then persuaded him too, to create an alive checkpoint, if it works that way. Then proceeded to at the millisecond of his death grab the ring**. Killing king neutral is key. You can then have instant pick-up time which is why speed is key.

6. Once in inventory, grab ring, (I don’t think I equipped yet)

7. While still in inventory equip maz ring, go to vivec, then mournhold, then Almsi vision scroll, then recall.

8. Through a series of making random checkpoint (I know one probably had more importance than the other), and teleporting between worlds quickly, eventually through a few hours of trying and developing, king was alive. I do have a picture of that being the case, not that I can upload. The key to doing this is just being insanely fast and not letting his body really move. Game has fast auto saves (I think). Which is why it’s about speed. — Unsigned comment by 173.225.207.191 (talk) at 19:37 on 27 February 2022 (UTC
