Tutorials Intro[edit]

A lot of what I cover will already be elsewhere in the wiki, especially if it is about aquiring items. However, there is alot I have to add. It is always under construction ;) sorry if there are unfinished articles.

Morrowind Tutorials[edit]

Morrowind tutorials, not including expansions.

Items/Spells I talk about[edit]

This section saves you from trawling around merciless wiki pages to find items you need for my methods. Some may be from Tribunal or Bloodmoon. This will be marked with TR: or BM:, respectively.

Ring of Khajiit: Morrowind:Mephala's Quest

Amulet of Shadows: Morrowind:The Lady's Ring

General Hints[edit]

Beginners[edit]

This section is designed to be approachable straight off the boat, but also anytime in the game. It covers a lot of money making methods that work for beginners. The NPC's shouldn't be too much trouble for you, but if they are, save them until you are a bit better trained.

Limeware Platter[edit]

This only works straight off the boat. When you enter the Census & Excise office for the first time (when you are told to choose your class), head over to the shelves in the corner. There should be a large yellow(ish) platter. Pick it up and quickly enter your inventory. Drop the platter, and get told off by the guard. Pick the platter up again and off you go!

Wedding Dowry[edit]

Inside the lighthouse in Seyda Neen, go up the stairs. There is a bench with a book. This book is quite valuable. Pick it up and, along with your platter, head to Arille's Tradehouse. Sell both the items.

Vodunius Nuccius[edit]

Find a man called Vodunius Nuccius wandering around Seyda Neen. Speak to him about "little advice". Go to the Silt Strider (the giant flea thing) and talk to the woman in front of it about "Vodunius Nuccius". Go back to Vodunius and talk to him about "Vodunius Nuccius". Give him 100 gold and buy his ring. It's not a great enchantment, but it's unique and you can't get it anywhere else.

A House in Balmora[edit]

Balmora is probably the best place to get a house. There is a manor district with 2 great houses; Hlaalo Manor and Nerano Manor. Hlaalo is best for storage, Nerano is best for decorative storage. You may have to take over Nerano Manor depending on different quests. Nerano has LOTS of tables and shelves for you to lay out all of your precious items on, and Hlaalo has a dead guy on the floor who never disappears and you can put all your items in.

Scavenging in Balmora[edit]

If you are low on funds, or you just want a bit of extra cash, then this is easy street for you. Basically, you can legally rob all the crates in outside Balmora, and often they will have exclusive potions worth 175 gold each. Some people have reported finding scrolls of lock splitter, but this hasn't been proven.

Some Cool Kit[edit]

Travel to Suran for the next tip. This one involves killing something! Oooo! Once you are in Suran go down the steps until you are in a "square" area. Nearby there will be a pawnbroker. Go inside and there will be ebony darts and a broken glass dagger. Kill the man behind the desk and drop all your stolen stuff. Go to a guard and pay the 40 gold bounty for assault (no-one reported the murder). Once you have done that, go back inside and loottastic! You have loads of cool and expensive stuff. Just make sure that you sell the ebony darts, not use them, as they are worth a massive 2000 gold each! But now you need somewhere to sell them. So it's time to go to...

The Creeper[edit]

The creeper is the second-wealthiest merchant in Morrowind. He has 5000 gold and buys almost everything except for books. His gold replenishes every 24 ingame hours. Head to Caldera (the best way there is through a Mage's Guild Guide) and find Ghorak Manor. Other than the big castle, it is the biggest building in town. Once you enter go upstairs until you find a scamp. DON'T KILL HIM! Talk to him and barter. Voila! Money!

Medium[edit]

Travelling[edit]

Believe it or not, you can get a Silt Strider in your house. Grab a command humanoid spell and find a person that you want in your house; I'll be using a Silt Strider Caravaner from Balmora. Use command humanoid and take him to your house. When he gets inside, he might stop moving; taunt him and take him where you want, then use Almsivi Intervention. Wait for 3 days and you should be able to use him to travel. You can do this with ANY NPC. However, every now and then he might go missing. Check the place where you first found him, and if he's not there, go to Assarnatamat. He might be there.

Hard[edit]

This section is designed for people who are experienced in Morrowind.

Vaults[edit]

Vivec Vaults. This involves killing ordinators and travelling to Caldera alot, so you might want to set up a mark at the Creeper. Also, I have put them in order of difficulty to raid. From top to bottom is hardest to easiest.

Telvanni[edit]

The only word I have for this one is "Gah". 2 storm atronachs, several patrolling ordinators, high lock levels; good luck.

Head to the Telvanni canton, and go to the plaza. Enter Telvanni Tower and find the door to the vaults. Go through until you are in a long corridor with a patrolling ordinator and a door at either end. This one is pretty confusing; the doors are magic. When you go into either of them, it leads to a room with 2 storm atronachs. Kill them both then head back through the door, and you are in the loot room! There may be a few ordinators here, aswell. There is a lot of sweet stuff here, including ebony armor! It will weigh you down a lot though, so have a teleport spell ready. This one can make you very rich, but a lot of the stuff is too expensive to sell easily.

Hlaalu[edit]

Head to Vivec and go to the Hlaalu canton. Go to the Waistworks and find the Hlaalu Treasury. Go to the door to the vaults, and taunt and kill all the ordinators (unless you have VERY high sneak or chameleon). Pick the lock to the cell door. CLOSE IT AGAIN. Taunt and kill the ordinator in here for the key. Open the next. It might make your life easier to kill the ordinator(s) in here aswell, but if you have a mildly high sneak skill you should manage. In here it is loottastic! Chests, gold, glass, enchanted weapons, gems; everything you could need is here!

Redoran[edit]

This one is pretty easy, but you still need to kill people. Find the Redoran canton of Vivec. In the plaza, there is a manor called Dralor Manor. Head upstairs and there is a room with the woman. Open the door and stand in the way of it so that when it closes on you she won't be able to see you, but you can still see her drawers. Sneak and take the treasury key from the drawers. Now find the Redoran vaults and you can open the bottom cell. There may be an ordinator; taunt and kill. They can't see through the cell door, and theres is a lot of loot here. Once you have all you need, head the the upper cell. Outside is a man in normal clothes. Either steal the key from him or kill him and take it. You can now open this cell door. More stuff! Yay!

Tribunal Tutorials[edit]

Hard[edit]

Helseth's Ring[edit]

The Royal Signet Ring. Sound great? It is. And you want it. 100% Reflect. 100% Resist Magicka & Paralysis. Restore 10 Health. Restore 10 Fatigue. CONSTANT EFFECT. This ring will make you practically invincible. But like most good things in life, you have to commit Grand Treason. Ah well! Best to wait until you finish the Tribunal Main Quest before you do this. Once the king
