Welcome[edit]

Hello! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

If you, on the other hand, would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at this link:

  • Userboxes: near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to make your own

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Have fun! --Krusty 12:46, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks, I'm just starting to get the hang of it now, with the links and stuff. I always use the "preview changes" button...I think. I'll make sure to have a look at those pages. I really just want people to ask me questions on Shivering Isles because I just want to answer them. Thanks again Dayne 12:58, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
Hey again! I would be really happy if you could try using that Show Preview button just a bit more. If you click the Recent Changes link to the left and notice the amount of edits to User:Dayne, then you might realise how many edits you have made. Since I'm a patroller I'll have to look through each and every one of those edits to make sure everything is alright - and that takes time. I hope you understand that I'm not trying to stop you from editing and experimenting on your page - that is not the case. Just use the Show Preview-option a bit more and then everything is fine. A few tips on how to check your links without saving: Right-click on the link (after using Show Preview) and open up the link in a new window, or: simply click the link (again, after using Show Preview) and hit the back-button to get back to your editing window. Not all browsers can do that, but it is worth a try. Good luck. --Krusty 13:58, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Ok sorry i'll do that. thanks for the tips Dayne 14:37, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
