Welcome[edit]

Hello Kotekzot! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask one of our mentors. Enjoy! –RpehTCE 00:51, 28 July 2008 (EDT)

Please remember to use edit summaries!![edit]

Hello and welcome to UESPWiki! Thank you for your interest in contributing to the site! If you believe that content needs to be deleted from a page, be sure that you leave a brief explanation for the deletion in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. People who monitor the wiki are very suspicious when editors remove content, and may mistakenly revert your edit as vandalism. You may also want to look over our Getting Started guide. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. --SkoomaManiac 17:04, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

I left a note, along with the removed content, to the talk page. I'm not in the mood for this, so I'm just going to bring this to an admin. --Kotekzot 17:06, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
Not in the mood for what? Having your edits challenged? It's a wiki. Edits get reversed. I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from. —SkoomaManiac 17:10, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
For explaining why grammar errors aren't bugs. --Kotekzot 17:11, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
I understand that grammar errors aren't bugs, thank you. However, it shouldn't be removed from the article. If you disagree that information should be in a section, move it to a different section instead of deleting it without using an edit summary. That's the issue, not the fact that it isn't a bug. I'm moving it to the Notes section instead. —SkoomaManiac 17:14, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
I think he's put off by your heading of the section. We assume good faith, and it's clear that Kotekzot was trying to contribute positively. A reminder to use edit summaries is fine, but I don't think it's deserving of a "Warning". Minor Edits 17:15, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

My apologies. Changing heading. —SkoomaManiac 17:19, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

No problems, but I'm still interested in an admin opinion whether grammar is noteworthy enough to be in an article. --17:21, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
From what I've seen in other articles it's noteworthy, but maybe Nephele or Rpeh will have a different opinion. Please update the post to reflect that it's been moved to the notes, however. —SkoomaManiac 17:22, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
Updated. --Kotekzot 17:26, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
