It depends :-) –RpehTCE 10:42, 11 January 2008 (EST)

Talk Pages[edit]

Hi again. I notice you've been correcting the spelling on a few talk pages. It's a laudable aim but it's usual to leave those pages as they are. Apart from anything else, correcting the spelling on most talk pages would take far, far too long! –RpehTCE 10:41, 11 January 2008 (EST)

ok i will, i'll start concintrating on bigger things!
Cheers. Just a word of advice - before embarking on your latest project you might want to take a look here and bear it in mind! Good to see you wanting to help though. –RpehTCE 11:20, 11 January 2008 (EST)
hmmm ok... errm i'll clean up the one i just did, i think i kno how i can make it look a bit better.

III or IV?[edit]

what do people think is the better game Morrowind or Oblivion?

I played Morrowind with all expansions a while, but it didn't leave me half as addicted as I am to Oblivion, so my answer is Oblivion - Korunox 14:35, 20 February 2008 (EST)
Definitely Morrowind, without a shadow of a doubt. --HMSVictory 11:06, 23 February 2008 (EST)
It'll have to be Oblivion, as I haven't tried Morrowind, but will soon Caboose 15:42, 26 March 2008 (EDT)

Need 1 more luck[edit]

i'm max level and my luck is 99, i was wondering if there are anyways that i can get my luck to 100 permently, bare in mind i Have used the Oghma Infinium.

Only if you're on the PC. You can use the console command modpca 1 to bump your luck by one point. –RpehTCE 11:03, 23 February 2008 (EST)
You could use the permanant enchantments glitch, using a ring that boosts your Luck attribute by one. -Adoring Fan 23:18, 14 September 2008 (EDT)

Page Blocked?[edit]

Okay let's move this here instead. There is nothing that should stop you editing that page. It's not protected and I've just double-checked that you're not blocked. I'm not sure why you want to edit it though - the only text on the page is "This page lists all of the named NPCs in the game of Oblivion who are Imperials.. If you're trying to add somebody to a category, you add on the page, but there should be no reason for doing that either. Can you try clicking here and seeing if that loads the edit page? –RpehTCE 12:55, 23 February 2008 (EST)

Aha thanks that seems to work, i Was going to get rid of the "oblivion" part of names but keep the links but it dose not seem posible with that, Thanks anyway --Marleysexton 13:02, 23 February 2008 (EST)
Yeah, unfortunately, the Category pages are automatically generated, and it would take a change to the core wiki software itself to change how those links are displayed. Unfortunately, not even us Admins have that kind of power, so only Daveh would be able to do it, assuming he spent the time to figure out how. At any rate, I don't think it's necessarily a good idea to go about changing that. While it may seem redundant on the category in question, and indeed most other game-specific categories, there are some categories that contain pages in more than one namespace, and having the namespace hidden in the link could lead to confusion in those cases. --TheRealLurlock Talk 16:51, 23 February 2008 (EST)

1 foot?[edit]

I've never been able to work it out myself, and it been driving me crazy, but how far in a foot on Oblivion?--Marleysexton 11:02, 24 February 2008 (EST)

Same as in real life, 12 inches. That's rather an odd question, as measurements are never really used in-game. --HMSVictory 11:41, 24 February 2008 (EST)
Actually, they are - but only in descriptions of spells with a radius effect. There are also mentions of inches and miles in some of the books. I tried to compile this sort of information on the Weights & Measures page. --TheRealLurlock Talk 12:06, 24 February 2008 (EST)
yeah i know 1 foot is 12 inches, what i meant to say is how long for instance a step the player makes is that a foot? i wanted to know because i wanted too work out the size of things like bridges, odd thing to do but i'm curious.
One game cell (4096 units in internal Oblivion coordinates) is 192 feet (64 yards) in size. If you have the PC version of the game you can find out exact location of any item using the construction set or the console and work out any distance you like. --NepheleTalk 14:09, 24 February 2008 (EST)

NEED URGENT HELP[edit]

i'm on the cheydinhal mages recommendation and i got the ring of burden but i couldent carrie it, so (stupidly) i droped it, now i come back to the quest and the body is not there and i cant find the ring, i was wondering if there was a nother ring i could use, or somthing else, I'm playing on the xbox so i cant use consoles, so is there anything i could do or will i spend the next week searching for it on the floor of the well?--Marleysexton 13:51, 25 February 2008 (EST)

Once you've found the ring and picked it up once, there's no need to keep it so you can carry on without it Volanaro 13:57, 25 February 2008 (EST)
But i droped it Before i got out of the well, and so did not recive the quest update.
Did you get a quest update when you picked up the ring? as far as i know there isn't a quest update when you actually leave the well. Volanaro 04:20, 26 February 2008 (EST)
mmmm i dont think so, i picked it up, realised i couldent carry it so i droped it, before i got any sort of quetst update --Marleysexton 09:55, 26 February 2008 (EST)
As the page says, "Be careful not to drop the ring before you receive the quest update". If you did that and you're on the PC you could use the console command setstage MG02Alter 30 and the quest should advance. If you're on a console, you'll need to reload an earlier save. –RpehTCE 10:07, 26 February 2008 (EST)

Clean Crime Sheet?[edit]

is there away to get rid of all the crimes on the listings, on a xbox, because i've managed to tot up 9867 assults somehow...

I doubt it. That's an internal game setting rather than something that can be affected by a spell. The command ModPCMiscStat 31,0 will do it on the PC. –RpehTCE 16:20, 25 February 2008 (EST)
