hello Nephele[edit]

I saw that you erased many of my edit that I did with good will! even thou the bruma sign/shield was a real informative text with real info about its swedish IRL opposite. The annoying fan edit was a bad misstake by me and I understand why you erased it but if you are so quick on the ´´erase´´ button why havent you erased my text about styrbjorn. please dont erase my little styrbjorn edit or any other swedish related edits in the future. have a good future/the naggy swede— Unsigned comment by Jarpasmannen (talkcontribs) on 1 March 2009

Ummm, excuse me? I had nothing to do with erasing your edit about the Bruma sign (the only edit of yours that I removed from Oblivion:Bruma was this one, and please don't even try to tell me that belongs on an article) and I had nothing to do with removing anything you may have added to Oblivion:Adoring Fan.
Before going around and making accusations, it would really help if you first learned how to use the history page by clicking the tab that says "History" at the top of the article (for example, for Bruma or Adoring Fan). Furthermore, threatening and harassing other editors is really not a good way to convince editors that your content has any merit. If you want to explain to editors why your edits belong on an article, it's best to provide an explanation or some reasons -- or to at least show that you've read the reason given for deleting the content and provide some type of counterargument. --NepheleTalk 13:10, 1 March 2009 (EST)

About removal of Total Encumbrance Incorrect[edit]

I do agree that my edit was best removed as I have now found the Feather#bug section and can see that it 100% describes the effect I was seeing.

One point I feel could be worth adding to the Feather#bug section is that the bug also affects enchanted items. The existing page provides detailed information about how the feather effect is implemented in terms of spells and it also mentions why permanent abilities would not work but it does not mention that it affects enchanted items in the same way. I feel it would benefit by adding a reference to "enchanted items" near the "cast your spells/drink your potions" words.

I will not go and edit that page as I am new to this Wiki and do not want to add further comments that are duplications of information already present somewhere, but do get back to me if you feel that it is worth me implementing the edit proposed above. — Unsigned comment by GreenBandit (talkcontribs)

Good point. I went ahead and added the information to Oblivion:Feather#Bug -- along with a lot of other tweaks that I happened to notice while I was re-reading the page. But if you feel any more changes to the description would be helpful, please feel free to edit the article. --NepheleTalk 16:42, 7 March 2009 (EST)
Excellent edit, I agree that the section is now much improved. GreenBandit 12:18, 8 March 2009 (EDT)

problem with my talk page[edit]

hi i just wanted to ask if you could help me out i cant seem to add to my talk page it says tha i am trying to edit protected article or somthing is it possible it could be the big warning on my talkpage stopping me from editing please help urgent--NathanTHipgrave 12:22, 11 March 2009 (EDT)

The 'big warning' on your talk page is a warning message which also happens to be a protected section. This means that a user felt that it was necessary to make sure that you wouldn't edit the warning. If you can't edit your talk page, its simply because you're trying to edit the warning. --SerCenKing 12:35, 11 March 2009 (EDT)
Make sure you're clicking the edit tab at the top, and not the edit button to the right of the "Warning". I just tested it, and it lets me edit your talk page when logged out, but not the warning itself. --GuildKnightTalk2me 16:09, 11 March 2009 (EDT)

recharging weapons thank you![edit]

Hi Nephele! Thank you so much for helping me out with the recharging weapons. There is so much information on this wiki (and it being my first wiki, besides Wikipedia) that sometimes I have a really hard time trying to figure out where I need to go to find the information I need. i really appreciate the help! --MeBetter87 19:39, 25 March 2009 (EDT)

You're welcome :) If you have ideas for how to make it easier for new players such as yourself to use the site, feel free to make suggestions -- or even make edits (this is a wiki, after all)! I hope you enjoy the site, and have fun playing. --NepheleTalk 19:51, 25 March 2009 (EDT)

I am not providing information on increasing Attributes nor the pitiful 55.5 maximum character level for console[edit]

First and foremost I would like to point out I am playing on console so I am always looking for ways to push the limits of my character, legitemately or illegitamely. I have not provided information on increasing Attributes. I have however provided information on the true maximum level despite whatever delusions you may have based on any calculator developed. Which from my understanding the maximum character level is 43.5 (Khajiit with all stealth skills) or 55.5 (Nord with all mage schools). Based on Normal game bounds, however through 708 hours of gameplay I have discovered a way to exceed the boundaries of that, namely my Ice blue Argonian that is level 1025. (I am only giving an example using the method posted on the page I created) infamy in the excess of 100,000, with all skills maxed out at 255 (since I do not want them to be reset). If given time I can edit this page, though I barely seem to get 2 hours in order to perfect the page. I have added quite a bit to the main bulk, as well as a See Also section. You are probably wondering why I didn't explain this in the History, quite frankly I wanted to explain it to the person that had the problem with my page in the first place. I've written FAQs for Gamespot (Not for Oblivion) and it takes a few hours to flesh out a page, sheesh. Thank you for your time.Chronic 14:21, 29 March 2009 (EDT)

Your article is not going to be deleted within hours, as you would find out if you bothered to read any of our site's policies, for example UESPWiki:Deletion Policy.
Furthermore, you still haven't addressed the primary reason why the article was proposed for deletion: the information belongs on an existing article that already covers the information, not on a new article. The biggest single difference between a wiki and Gamespot FAQs is that wiki articles are written by multiple editors, so that a single article contains everything that all of the editors know. We do not want to have multiple overlapping articles, each written by a separate editor, and each containing only that one editor's knowledge.
Finally, since you've started this talk page discussion, could I also suggest that you spend more time checking facts before putting them into articles? It makes it much easier for other editors to believe the information you're posting if the information is not riddled with your incorrect guesses about what you think should happen in the game (e.g., repeatedly telling readers that it is possible to create custom reanimate spells, or telling readers that it's possible to get the bloodworm helm after the related quest is complete). --NepheleTalk 14:36, 29 March 2009 (EDT)
Console players can, After gaining it on 3 characters I believe that is sufficient testing. It has taken me anywhere from 1 to 18 tries in order to recieve it. As for the custom reanimation spell I am sorry I have been able to make custom spells from the effects of a Greater Power before so I only assumed as I haven't taken the time to gain that particular Power since I had the Staff of Worms. I will remove that information at once if you haven't already. As for placing that information on an already existing page I did several searches to find if there was a page that mentioned a maximum level and I couldn't find one, other then the Leveling page which my information didn't really fit under any category provided. The closest thing after that would be glitches given that exceeding level 255 without being reset is a glitch, but after reading your page I realize you don't want every Tom, Dick, and Harry posting every glitch they find in Oblivion since there is quite a few. While I reading the reasons for proposed deletion. I am providing information on the level cap, which to my searches and my knowledge only my created page comes up when I look for the level cap, or maximum level I will however place that information in the leveling Wiki if you so prefer. However the wiki page is to explain the level cap, and then surpass it. Redundant Permastub? well redundant is your opinion, and if its a permastub then it isn't going anywhere so why are we fighting? heh. Written in first person, sorry about that I'm not used to writing in 3rd person or independent party like you wish I can convert it to what you want if you so prefer. I can of course divide this information and place it in pages you deem fit, I can also see how you do not want people to abuse the Oghma Infinium like I did so I can remove that if you find it disdainful? Your are the mentor after all.

SQL Error[edit]

Hi Nephele, I just got a SQL error on doing a search. I'm guessing you'd take care of that, but let me know if this should go to Dave instead. To duplicate the error yourself, type "prior maborel's paint horse" into the search window and hit Enter or click on Go (Search works fine). I'm assuming it's the 's that's the problem. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 00:54, 30 March 2009 (EDT)

Thanks for pointing that out -- a silly mistake on my part ;) I've fixed the code, along with a few other issues that had been on my todo list, and passed it along to Daveh so the fix can be installed. --NepheleTalk 16:56, 30 March 2009 (EDT)

Hey Nephele just a quick, random question.[edit]

first off i see you on talk pages quite alot. you are obviously a busy person. I just wanted to ask how you come up with names for your characters? i never seem to think of any and give them stupid names like "guy" or "tom". hope you reply soon. (if at all!) thanks :)
