Welcome + Moved discussion[edit]

Hello! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our Patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Have fun! --Timenn-<talk> 12:36, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

TES3 Corprus Update[edit]

Moved from User talk:Daveh.
A few days ago, I stumbled upon more corprus stuff (another way to get corprus) from a random spell i obtained, possibly after fighting an ash slave (Ash Curse: Fatigue). The spell drains fatigue on touch and casts Corprus on Self. Strange. So i saved and casted it. First time, it said i absorbed magic (50% spell absorption from Atronarch sign). I casted the spell again and got Corprus. So I checked the site here, turning up nothing on the spell. Upon multiple casts my game would crash. Is there a way for me to make a permanent addition to the site about this stuff? I tried just editing the page (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Diseases#Corprus_Disease) to say "...three ways.... by casting an undocumented spell, "Ash Curse" ...". Some1 reverted my change, likely due to ignorance? Anyway I'd like to help and maybe add some more info to the site? I'm running PC version 1.2.0.722 with no mods or expansions. I can provide screenshots if necessary.

Thanks

If you want help to start editing the wiki the most useful thing to do would be to put op a notice on one of the administrator's pages, like Ratwar or Nephele. I believe there is also a special mentors program, experienced members who have agreed to help newcomers. Or you could always check out the general Getting Started page.
About Corprus: Yes, this detail about Corprus is already known and is probably already covered somewhere on the site. If you aren't sure you could always put up a notice on the Corprus Disease Talk Page or take the issue up with whoever deleted your edit.
Lastly this page belongs to Daveh, the webmaster. As far as I known Daveh's only duty is database management and the appointment of site staff. Queries about page-edits should always be directed to one of the admnistrators.Apophis2412 07:33, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
I reverted your edit. The reason was that the Corprus magical effect doesn't actually give you the Corprus Disease, even though that seems plausible given the names. Instead, it has been reported that using the effect may crash your game. The details have been covered at Morrowind:Senise Thindo.
As comment on the advice given by Apophis2412; you do not need to contact any administrator about page-edits. Any editor on the wiki is qualified to provide you advice. You don't need anyone's permission to edit the wiki. --Timenn-<talk> 12:36, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice and moving. I overlooked Senise's page. See you guys around :D
