Lists vs. Integration into paragraphs[edit]

Hi, i've noticed you've removed a few lists and integrated them into paragraphs on the NPC pages for Tralan and Baradras. I personally much prefer the lists, but please input your thoughts on the subject in the NPC Templates and Content discussion I opened a few days ago on the project talk page, and lets agree on a standard format. Spam suggestion[edit]

I'm moving this comment here from Tamriel_talks:Books/w/index.php so that I can delete that page (which otherwise only contained spam and was a talk page for a nonexistent main page). Sorry to do this somewhat rushed, but I'm trying to do what I can before the server dies again. --Nephele 13:52, 12 December 2006 (EST)

It occurs to me that this is the second time (at least) that a new page has been created as a sub-page of an existing talk page, using the suffix "/w/index.php", which contained nothing but offensive spam links. (The other one being in Booyah boy's User Talk page.) Might this somehow be used as a filter criterion to prevent further such occurances? (Since there's surely no legitimate reason why anyone would use this for a page name.) Given that it's happened twice in exactly the same way, I'm guessing it's another bot, like that one that posts long random numbers. --TheRealLurlock Talk 09:49, 12 December 2006 (EST)

Since the server hasn't died on me yet, I'll just add one more comment. It is very likely that the change I've suggested at Daveh's talk page will also cure this problem. That change will prevent robots from parsing any page with /w/ in the name, which means that there will be absolutely no motivation for spammers to create those types of pages. (The more important reason for the change is to stop bots from crawling through the "script-generated" pages on the site, as opposed to the real content of the site). --Nephele 13:57, 12 December 2006 (EST)
