Hi. Codes did not work mg18kingofworms 30 and 100[edit]

Thanks for trying to help but im afraid it did not work so if there are any other possible commands to help me i would be very gratefull. P.S i am using a PC

Hmm. try asking this question on the page for the quest. (just go to oblivion, quests, mages guild, confront the king) Someone there will probably know. I don't know of any other ways to fix it, though, as this isn't a computer induced glitch.

Use My Imagination?[edit]

Huh, there's a user here. I wasn't aware of your existance, and I don't see a friendly welcome on your page, yet. Thus, let me remedy both! Hello, Vesna, I'm Somercy. I alos go by Mercy or even Alegna. I guess you and I must simply be in different time zones, so we never had a chance to meet...ah, well. Now to connect this to Oblivion. That's the hard part; I've only played Morrowind. Hm.

OB-icon-ingredient-Apple.png
You have been given an apple dipped in honey!

Apples dipped in honey are a traditional symbol of a sweet new year. The user who sent you this wishes you the best in the coming year. --Somercy 09:19, 28 September 2007 (EDT)

Hah! That works. I stole the apple image from an Oblivion page. And only, what? A month, or so late? --Somercy 10:52, 4 October 2007 (EDT)

Thanks! That's nice of you! --Vesna 12:00, 4 October 2007

Dirty Spammers[edit]

Thanks for reverting that spam earlier... One day we will hunt down those responsible and impale them on sticks while they still breath. --Ratwar 00:32, 6 October 2007 (EDT)

Ratwar beat me to the thanks. I'm afraid I was away in dreamland but you did a great job holding back the evil tide. Ratwar's stick idea works for me - as long as we make sure the sticks have lots of splinters. --RpehTalk 02:47, 6 October 2007 (EDT)

User Table[edit]

I hope you don't mind me borrowing your User Table Code:({| style="float:right; margin-right:1.5em" cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 border=2 rules=none) Or, if it's not yours initially, then whoever it is that made it. But I like it, so I thought I'd just let you know.

A Thought[edit]

Well, since you've obviously been working with recent changes a good bit recently, I thought I would ask if you have any interest in becoming a Patroller. So, ummm... Do you? --Ratwar 23:00, 27 October 2007 (EDT)

A patroller?..... Wow... um...sure! (That actually means YAY / WOW / COOL / etc.) Yep, I would love to become a patroller! Now I have an excuse to stay online even longer. Thanks! :) Vesna 23:10, 27 October 2007 (EDT)
Well, I'll go ahead and nominate you then :). --Ratwar 23:25, 27 October 2007 (EDT)

Help[edit]

Would you like em to help withe the role playing sub-pages by starting from 'Z' up until we get it all finished? Western3589 17:38, 13 November 2007 (EST)

What's wrong with starting at B and going down? I'm already doing that. You can start from Z. Vesna 17:42, 13 November 2007 (EST)
That's what I meant I misspelled me with 'em'. Another thing we need to put on the role playing page is a link to a new role playing suggestion page where if a person wants to add a thing to the role playing list he/she post's it there and if appropriate it will be added to the list, good?Western3589 17:45, 13 November 2007 (EST)
Ahh, done, glad to help you. But for the record I was going to do these links of the character types I did but you did it for me, so thanks. Western3589 19:17, 13 November 2007 (EST)
That was a fun project! Lets work together on something again later! Vesna 19:24, 13 November 2007 (EST)
Yes it was! I think we made the role playing page alot easier to scan and browse for errors etc..., Now I'm going to add links and make the character types more reasonable and give better ideas to it. I want to near perfect and maintain the role playing page as my first major project. Western3589 19:29, 13 November 2007 (EST)

Table Format[edit]

I've noticed that you have already been changing "greylapse" tables to "wikitable compress". Although I admire your enthusiasm, please refrain from changng any more tables before a decission on the table classes has been made at UESPWiki:Community Portal#Table Formats. Otherwise, we may finally decide on different classes to the ones you are using now, and have to undo/redo all your changes. In the meantime, I invite you to take an active part in this discusson. --DrPhoton 08:38, 21 November 2007 (EST)

Daggerfall[edit]

I noticed you are on the list of users knowledgeable about Daggerfall. I've been working on getting the Daggerfall Redesign Project back up and running. If you do actually have experience with Daggerfall, please check the page out, and see how you can help out. --Timmeh 22:39, 26 November 2007 (EST)

Accident, don't take it harshly.[edit]

Concerning Rpehs page, I removed the bad language and copied and pasted the old version of the page. Please note I did not mean to muck it all up like that. If you could tell me what I did wrong I would appreiciate it.

--Matthewest 22:21, 31 January 2008 (EST)

To revert an edit, you simply go to the page via the diff link that is the closest one to the bullet in the Recent Changes. From there, in the top right corner of the screen over the second column, there are two choices: edit and undo. Edit is what you use if you see a spelling mistake. You use undo if the change was vandalism or completely irrelevant. Vesna 22:26, 31 January 2008 (EST)
Matthewest, perhaps if you hadn't just nominated yourself to be a patroller, Vesna's edit summary would have been an overreaction. But, the reality is that your edit to Rpeh's user page was wrong on so many counts.
  • First, the vandalism on Rpeh's page had already been reverted by Vesna. No cleanup or edits were needed. Period.
  • Second, you were editing a user's personal page. User pages should not be edited by anyone except the user. The primary exception is to revert vandalism, but if you don't know how to revert vandalism, then you shouldn't be interfering with another user's personal page.
  • Third, your edit added the "bad language" from the vandalism back onto Rpeh's page. You did the complete opposite of what you claimed you were trying to accomplish.
  • Fourth, in the process you completely ruined the formatting of Rpeh's user page. A simple "preview" before hitting save should have made it pretty clear that something was horribly wrong, at which point you should have stopped messing with the pae.
  • My guess is that you took the diff view (e.g., this view, the purpose of which is to show you what was changed on the page), and cut and paste that page's contents into Rpeh's user page.
We all mistakes, so making one or two mistakes on a single edit wouldn't be a big deal. But to make this many mistakes, several of which show that you're not even following basic wiki procedures such as using the preview feature, when trying to convince that you're ready to be a patroller? --NepheleTalk 22:58, 31 January 2008 (EST)

i have a question about a creatur in oblivion for 360[edit]

i was in the mountains a good ways up and i ran into an invisible monster that had a really weird name and was really powerful, i was about level 17 when i ran into it, i was near bruma, i think a little to the east of it. the invisible thing amde the sound of a troll, and was the same shape, i used life detect so i could see it, i believe there is a reference to it in the game, there is a dead body behind a rock at the edge of the mountians and on him is a note from his daughter saying that he shouldnt be out in the mountians and to be careful of a monster up there. id really like to know what this thing is a spend alot of time looking for it and if only seen it twice, both times it killed me really fast. i never really got a good look at the name, but if you know anything about it please tell me.

id really appriciat it.

I bet you are talking about Uderfrykte Matron (I know I spelled that wrong). It is a troll-like creature, or basically a troll with a different name, that lives near Dive Rock in the mountains and is part of the an unmarked quest. It is weakest to fire. The dead body you have seen is Andre Labouche. He is spawned dead, so he was never alive in game. His daughter had warned him against his carelessness, not the Uderfrykte. Vesna 14:54, 17 February 2008 (EST)

Thank you so much, i made to dive rock which was worth the climb alone, and i did eventually find the uderfrykte, i was hoping for a little more from it though, the bow sucks and it was way to easy to kill, but the journal was cool, in the journal it said he had a steel ax but next to his body was a silver ax. it was kind of a let down since i spent so much time in the wrong place lookn for the thing.

but thank you again, id of wasted alot of time if you hadnt helped me.

Hi Vesna i need help uploading a image to my talk page. Can you help me? From Daedric Prince

Eh Hi.[edit]

Hello Lady Vesna i'm kind of new to UESP as a registerd user its a pleasure meeting you eh he he Tnu 19:21, 19 February 2008 (EST)

Um..... pleasure to meet you too! I hope you will find everything here satisfactory. And as time goes on you will meet many other editors as well. If you have any questions about editing, feel free to ask me! Vesna 11:50, 20 February 2008 (EST)

Hi Vesna.[edit]

Please elaborate on grammer and spelling problems plz? After all I spell very well only errors in fact are due to speedtyping and the fact I am oldschool and think using any kind of spellchecker to be a aversion from humanity in general?

I Am a writer/gamer by trade(all writers have grammical&spelling errors commonplace in fact read alot of published works from greats like Steven King/Andre Norton/ETC you will find the errors remain even after undergoing editing/publishing, have been my whole life, quite intelligent and enjoy anything that requires mind over brawn in fact I HATE anything over physical prefering to instead expand the mind as thats what make us unique and above most animals, anyhow Thanks for sticking up for me and please learn the truth that the small things are not to be so over exagerated look at a person for their speech content and manner and extend this courtesy knowing that we are all human and if we wanted to be machines we would not be breathing :P

ok that was abit harsh, sorry I am in my element, if people cannot tell intelligence without quibbling over the small intricacies rather then seeing the value and reality of what is evident in a persons nature and speech they must all be immature teenagers incapable of being compassionate...lol anyhow luv ya, thx again and peace, LilithChan 11:12 , 23 February 2008 EST.

What I'm sure Vesna was referring to when she made that comment was the fact that we have a style guide on the wiki that we stick to as much as possible. It's true that nobody's perfect, but there are certainly reasons for being a little strict about spelling and grammar. Readability is a big deal, for one thing, since we want our users to actually be able to understand the articles we put so much work into. It's important in discussions, too, because people need to be able to understand each other--if we can't follow each other's sentences, it's really hard to communicate effectively ;). –Eshetalk23:27, 23 February 2008 (EST)

Ok then No Problemo That is understandable, but to add to my point above in vesna's user page are 2 mis-spellings one is missing an e after creatur to make it creature and that was a title, and one is missing a e after appriciat to make it appriciate, both are unsigned and peeps have been getting on my case about not signing my posts is it me or am I getting treated with more stricture then others?, dunno who posted that but hope I was able to help in pointing it out, I will not attempt to edit it by myself as of course I have yet to get the hang of using the sites post/editing and still myself make mistakes and it being her/his user page I like to leave that to the author as personal pages are the property of the user and I know from other posts I have read you guys like to leave that to the individual to correct unless it is some form of vandalism :) Luv LilithChan 7:42PM (EST), Thursday 28 February 2008.

I'm not sure what you mean by "both are unsigned," but this just goes to show that everyone makes mistakes, which is why we try to be on the lookout for errors in our articles. And you're right, it's not considered appropriate to edit other user's personal pages. Anyway, I assure you that you're not being singled out here. The style guide applies to everybody, not just those who question it ;). –Eshetalk19:49, 28 February 2008 (EST)

The authors who posted the question with the errors did not sign the post so you know vesna's response but not who asked the question, thats what I meant by unsigned :)LilithChan 8:08PM (EST), Thursday 28 February 2008.

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for clearifying that for me. Michaeldsuarez (talk· contribs· email) 07:28, 24 February 2008 (EST)

Elder Scrolls 4?[edit]

Oh I wanted to ask if you knew anyone who has played ES 1-4 and knows how good the 4th one was?

I had played 1&3 arena and morrowind GOTY Edition with the bloodmoon and tribunal expansions, and played 3 to the bone where I did all possible and got all possible and was as super as possible and had all the goodies as possible from hidden to otherwise even down to having 2 cresent blades on in my home wardrobe and one in my inventory(luved this loophole *smiles) I was wondering on whether Oblivion was as good as 3 and if it had as much content and was as much of a upgrade from 1-3 and whether it was a continuation of the historical storyline from 1-3 or if it was something else? anyhow I planned on buying it to see if I would like it as much as 3GOTY, still not decided whether I am going to get the PC or 360 version but with my cousin moving in I will have both options though maybe pc will have more options available then 360?

Thx luv as always LilithChan 8:08PM (EST), Thursday 28 February 2008.

You can always check on the Oblivion section of the wiki. Yes, Oblivion has less storyline and fewer guilds, and the fact that you can join any faction regardless of class spoils it somewhat. Still, it is a great game to roleplay in that can entertain you for hours on end and if you are on the PC, you may download mods to increase the size of your game tremenduously. Of course, I have never played Morrowind, so I really have nothing to compare to, but I find Oblivion fun nontheless. Vesna 21:26, 29 February 2008 (EST)

Daedric Quests[edit]

I would just like to get your permission on removing The Daedric Quest Harmonizing task on the Task List. I have looked through them all and they all seem to be done. All that is left is to remove the task from the Task list. Since it has your name on it I won't remove it yet.--Matthewest TCE 04:14, 4 May 2008 (EDT)

I wouldn't say they are done yet. Give me another week and they will be. There are about three I still have to format. Vesna 11:40, 4 May 2008 (EDT)
Sure thing =) --Matthewest TCE 05:23, 10 May 2008 (EDT)

HEY!!![edit]

Wow! It's good to see you around. I can't imagine what it was like around here with so many of us gone  ;) Glad you're back, too. --GuildKnightTalk2me 11:51, 4 May 2008 (EDT)

Sorry I've been gone so long. I expect to be back full-time within two weeks, after the AP Finals are over. But it's great to be remembered! Thanks! Vesna 14:36, 4 May 2008 (EDT)
Well, are you back now?  :p Anyway, we've missed ya... See you in IRC, I hope! --GuildKnightTalk2me 19:13, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
Yep. I am back full-time. At least untill next spring... Anyways, hope to see ya too. Vesna 11:32, 3 June 2008 (EDT)

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for offering to help! I mostly just need to know the basics of wiki editing and what all those seemingly random slashes and dashes around some words mean. Also, how do you make those little icons that say stuff like This user is from the U. S., or This user is a modder and stuff like that. And what do you mean proposed glitches most approved by the community before they can be posted? Please answer soon. Kriegblitz

You're welcome. All those apostrophes and other such text coding are briefly explained in the formatting guide. It will help you with bullets (*) and basic section breaks (=). On talk pages, don't forget to sign your name with four tildes (~). Links to other pages of the wiki are enclosed in double brackets ([[User: | ]]). It will automatically exchange that for your name, the server time, and date. Just another way to keep track of conversations. More advanced guides to editing (such as images and unruly charts that never go the way you want them to), as well as simple editing guides are available here. A very important thing to have is an edit summary (right below the edit box) to let others know what you changed. Be sure to preview your work before saving as well.
Those boxes that tell about the user are called "userboxes". They basically let others more about you (i.e. what you're good at). They are done by simply adding a template (which are always enclosed in two squiggly brackets). If the userbox you want to use is already on the list, all you need to do is type User Oblivion and encase it in double squiggly brackets (sorry, I call them that). In such, the template automatically puts you into the for that userbox.
As for the glitches section, well... there were so many edits by overly eager editors all trying to get their input in, that the regulars decided to create the proposed glitches page. Therefore, the article on proven glitches can be relatively clean. I don't really know what you can do with your knowledge of glitches, as it makes up a tiny percent of what we usually work on here. Our specialty is guides, not for how to exit a city without doors. Vesna 22:53, 15 June 2008 (EDT)

Edit on the Fighters Guild quest[edit]

See the talk page for why I undid the misguided correction of burglaries; it's a reference to the sign for Lelles' Quality Mercandise, which is spelled without an H. 32.157.58.156 04:43, 6 October 2008 (EDT)

Yes but if you read on, it's decided that we should keep it spelled correctly. A joke can be funny, but all this one has resulted in is countless undos of "corrections". - Game LordTalk|Contribs 07:14, 6 October 2008 (EDT)

Uespwiki help[edit]

Hi! I read you on the mentors page and I was wondering if you could answer my question: can you make a new section of the oblivion roleplaing section, which lists all the stuff you can do? I ask this because I think I have a good idea for a librarian. Thanks in advance!

You guys aren't very open to new changes...[edit]

I've made, well, few changes compared to yours that I've noted such as with the Sanguine Rose where if the summoned daedra sees you first it will forget about its intended target which, unfortunately, has happened to me several times making the Rose more then a piece of firewood in my house. Or how to get the Non-Quest versions of Bloodworm Helm and Necromancer's Amulet without the Tes4Mod:Unofficial Oblivion Patch that places them in the Arch Mage's desk. Which I admit I didn't say that in my post I thought people would assume since they both have to be turned in for a Quest. (I am playing on the console I assume you are playing on the computer since I've seen most of the mentors are). Or on Alawen's page how I noted she tended to wander off if you used her bed to level and was gone until nightfall, after her training hours making it so she could only be used once that day. So I noted the problems, and a recommendation to get around it. SerCen removed the last three and told me to stop making foolish posts (In less harsh words). However I thought you wanted people to note the problems they had, and what they did to get around it. I also posted a page about the console Level Cap it will probably be deleted before you see it, but I found that at level 256 (making 255 the Level Cap) everything is reverted back Level, Skills, Mana, Hitpoints, and Fatigue while everything else remains the same.I.E. items and rank among Factions, spells, lesser, and greater powers remain the same. Which I thought might be something this site would want, even if it had to be heavily edited to stay I intend to do most of the work if the page is kept as a stub. I also put a couple strategies on the page to help get there, well a link since someone explains it better then I ever could in a video. Now I have 2 questions, one is why have new editors if there input doesn't live up to the standards of the site, 2) do my edits still count if they are removed?

Mentor Program[edit]

This is a courtesy message to inform you that your user profile has been removed from the list of mentors at UESPWiki:Mentor Program, and also to request that you remove the "Mentor" userbox on your user page, if applicable. If this userbox is not removed within one week from the date of this notice, an administrator will remove it. Please visit the Mentor Program page to see the expectations of mentors. If you believe you satisfy the expectations of Mentors, then please contact the user who posted this message. The reason you were removed from the list is: "Mentors are expected to be active on UESPWiki within the last three months."RpehTCE 02:06, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

Welcome back Vesna! If you're back, you don't need to remove the Mentor box - it would be great to have you on the list. –RpehTCE 00:17, 20 April 2009 (EDT)

--Sindikat 00:00, 20 May 2009 (EDT)
