Jacques Lumier is a Breton merchant who lives in Leyawiin.

You first encounter Jacques during the quest Trust Questioned; his father Bertrand stole some money and documents from the company, and was going to sell them, but Bertrand was betrayed and killed. He'll find you during the quest and take you to where the bandits are holed up; you can either sell him out (in which case he'll flee) or save him. In either case, once the quest is complete, he'll take up residence in Milena's house. He wakes up at 8am every morning and goes to work at the Trans-Niben Company; he returns home at 7pm, eats dinner for four hours, and goes to bed at 11pm.

He wears a burgundy linen shirt and pants, and doeskin shoes, and is armed with a silver dagger; he carries three pieces of beef and a copy of Wealth and Poverty.

Jacques has a small room in Milena's house, which is also used for storage, judging from the boxes in one corner. He has a bed and armoire for his clothing.

When you first meet him, he'll ask if you're looking for his uncle, and can tell you what happened: "He was killed. Thunder was startled and bolted. I feared he would throw me off, which would have killed me, but he just ran with all his might. Then thunder broke his leg, and I had to walk to the city. When I saw my uncle die, I immediately understood everything. It was One-Eye who killed him. Who previously came to him at Five Claws. I followed him. When Thunder fell, I went back through the bushes, along the road. And there I learnt everything. He almost caught me. I was just beside the body of my uncle, two of One-Eye's bandits were standing near. I heard them swearing at One-Eye as he took everything from my uncle for himself. I waited until they were gone, and headed to the city. They just said that the boy escaped. Me, that is to say. And One-Eye ordered them to search along the road. They did not think that I'd go to the city. But they must have found Thunder, and soon they will start looking for me everywhere. Help me. I'll show you where One-Eye is." After that, he'll insist on coming along: "No, if I just tell you, you'll leave me here. I'll go with you. I can run after a horse on foot. I'll show you the way, and then you will kill One-Eye. I need to retrieve a package with papers from One-Eye."
