Marwen

Marwen is a Nord warrior who serves as Bravil's executioner.

Marwen never sleeps; instead, he wanders restlessly around the city and engages in various pastimes. His day starts at 2am, when he stands watch for two hours, then he goes home to sit quietly and rest for a few hours. At 7am on weekdays, he goes to the graveyard; on weekends, he remains at home. In either case, he goes to the chapel at 11am for worship services until 1pm. On Morndas, Middas, and Fredas, he patrols near the main gate for a couple hours, then goes to sit on a stool near the plaza for another couple hours. At 5pm, he goes to the castle gardens to admire the trees, then goes to visit Ma Syd Jun at his shop for an hour. After that, he stands on the platform in the plaza to taunt passersby for the rest of the evening. On Tirdas and Turdas, he wanders the area near the north gate for two hours, then moves to patrol around the castle courtyard for three hours, then goes back to the north gate, then goes back to the castle for the rest of the day. On the weekends, he sits on a chair in the plaza to read a book, then goes to the north entrance to taunt people. At 9pm, he stands watch at the south gate for the rest of the night.

Marwen wears a hangman's hood, worn leather cuirass, pants, and leather gauntlets and boots; he is armed with an axe, and carries a torch, a copy of Confessions of a Thief, and a key to his house.

Marwen is sarcastic and has little time for people bothering him: "You look neither robbed, stabbed nor murdered, so how should I place you onto my schedule?" If you ask him about himself, he says: "Yeah, working in the graveyard is really quiet and inspiring. There is no one trying to fool you with any jokes." If you ask about Ma Syd Jun, he'll tell you: "Ma Syd Jun has a nice little store on the south side. I am a regular, peeking for the latest axe-models there, you know." If you ask about Ygor, he says: "Yeah. Ygor could pull giggles out of Daedra."
