"Might take a while"[edit]

At level 49, with 120 strength and agility, I went up twelve levels in hand-to-hand (starting from a lowly 20) before that guy fell over. I'm not sure "it might take a while" really covers it... :P 124.148.132.79 20:24, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

That counts as having a "very low" H2H, and the article offers several alternatives. With 100 H2H it doesn't take more than a few seconds. rpeh •TCE 20:35, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

Drain vs Damage Fatigue[edit]

Drain Fatigue didn't seem to work for me. I made a 100 pt for 20 seconds spell and nothing happened. Even tried hitting him a few times while it was active. I had to resort to Damage Fatigue instead, which worked just fine. I'll remove Drain Fatigue from the article for now, unless someone knows any different. Don't just punch him![edit]

Heads up, I was having a huge problem with this fight. I was told to talk to Hroldar, I did and he didn't allow me to open a dialog or provoke him, simply closing the dialog immediately. I remembered that I needed to beat him up, so I started punching. I didn't think anything about the fact that he fought back; however, he wouldn't surrender. After minutes of whittling away his health, thinking he'd surrender at a low threshold or something, he died! Or course, Falco ALL-CAPS screamed at me, so I reloaded my save. Kept trying several times and consulted UESP to no avail.

Turns out you CANNOT simply attack him after the first time he rebuffs you, or he'll fight to the death. You have to go back to Falco and receive the order to beat him up. Once you talk to him the second time, he'll simply sit there taking your punches and then open a new dialog box to say he's retreating once his stamina drains.

So, the whole problem lay in knowing I had to beat him up. When all else fails, always read the Journal! — Unsigned comment by TheKRIS (talkcontribs) at 21:43 on 23 April 2021 (UTC)
