Daggerfall Unity: Disease[edit]

Diseases are contracted by being attacked by certain enemies. Each enemy has a percentage chance of infecting the defender with a disease; if successful, the defender's disease resistance rolls against 100 to determine whether the infection will be resisted.

The player cannot be infected with any disease until reaching level 2.

All diseases are considered in incubation during the first day of infection. After the first day, the disease will begin taking effect, and can be identified in the status window (default key "i"). Three diseases (Blood Rot, Caliron's Curse, and Wizard Fever) will only damage the character's attributes across three to eighteen days; all other diseases will continue damaging the character's attributes until cured.
