Redguard image policies aren't all too clear to me, considering half of them are in .gif form even though they're static. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 16:38, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Those gif images are official I believe, and quite old. The reason they're not jpegs is because they have an alpha channel, i.e. an area of transparency. This image is more up to modern site standards, although it was uploaded as a gif in order to match the original. —Legoless (talk) 16:50, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
