Archmage Almion Celmo was a renowned mage and enchanter from the Summerset Isles, and the creator of the Ice Blade of the Monarch.

History

The Ice Blade of the Monarch

Little is known of Almion Celmo's background and past. They hailed from the Summerset Isles and was a highly regarded mage, holding the title of Archmage. Celmo created the Ice Blade of the Monarch, a claymore enchanted with the soul of a Frost Monarch, a stronger variant of the Frost Atronach. It was known to cause serious frost damage and freeze anyone who feels its blade.

The Ice Blade of the Monarch was intended for use in the assassination of a king of a distant land by a warrior Thurgnarr Assi, who sought to become the ruler of that realm. However, the attempt failed, leading to Thurgnarr Assi's death and Almion Celmo's imprisonment. According to certain sources, including the writings of the last living Dwemer, Yagrum Bagarn, the Archmage was as an evil individual.

The weapon was rumored to have a mind of its own as it passed through the hands of various malefactors without settling in one place for long. The Ice Blade of the Monarch appeared in both Morrowind and Skyrim during the Third and Fourth eras, respectively.
