One of the members of the Treeshade Clan and Wayward Guardians

Treeshade Clan was one of numerous clans of Reachfolk that lived in the Reach during the Second Era. The Treeshade Clan was part of a concerted effort by several clans to drive back the Gray Host from the Reach. They joined the Arana's witch rebels and cooperated with other clans. The Treeshade way of war is to "hunt the hunters". They believed that being smart about how one approaches their enemy, but fighting nonetheless, was the only right way to combat a powerful enemy such as Gray Host.

History[edit]

Rebel's Retreat

In 2E 582, the Gray Host descended onto the Reach to search for an ancient artifact of great power. Many of the Reachfolk clans stayed in Markarth at the behest of Ard Caddach. This deal proved undesirable to some of the Reach, and so a rebel faction called the Wayward Guardians was formed. Their leader, the former Ghostsong Clan witch Arana advised the people of Markarth to leave the city and join them at their foothold in Karthspire, the camp called Rebel's Retreat. Treeshade Clan was one of the groups, such as Eagleseer Clan and Wildspear Clan who decided to join Arana's efforts and fight the Gray Host rather than hide from it.
