During Song of the Spinner, you will need to find one of Thara's belongings, a Cracked Hourglass. After completing the quest, you can inspect the Cracked Hourglass and Melrethel will tell you who Thara was like when she was alive.

"Thara lived her life by the hourglass. She scheduled everything. She had a place for everything. Her life was order—some jested she was switched with an Altmer child at birth. With order came happiness for her. Graccus ended both."
