Quest-Related Dialogue[edit]

After the events of Lost Depths, Druid Laurel will be in Glenumbra chasing down a lead relating the journey of the Druids of Galen. After you help her find Dhulef, you can go to the nearby Beldama Wyrd camp with the rubbing of tablet in hand to ask questions. However, when you arrive, several of the Wyresses will be injured and they will be wary of Druid Laurel:

Wyress Joslin: "Another druid! Are you with them? Stay back!"
Dhulef: "What happened Here?"
Wyress Joslin: "Druids … called themselves the Firesong. They attacked us!"
Druid Laurel: "Blight and thorns! Please, friend, talk to her and find out what happened."

Talk to Wyress Joslin to see what happened:

"First those druids arrived in force. Called themselves the Firesong. And now you show up, with the mage who spoke to Wyress Tola and another druid. Are you here to attack us, too?"
Druid Laurel isn't a Firesong and we're not here to hurt you. Can you tell us what happened?
"The Firesong leader, Archdruid Michiel, demanded that Wyress Tola come with him to open the—how did he phrase it—the Druid King's ritual site?
When she refused, they attacked. They took her away!"
Do you know where this ritual site is located?
"No. But if you really want to help, find Wyress Tola and bring her back safely.
Druids haven't been seen in High Rock since the Wyrd Tree was just a shrub, so when they appeared, we took interest. I'll mark the locations of their camps on your map."

After you have your map marked you can ask Joslin more questions:

When did you first notice druid camps appearing in the area?
"Only recently. We were curious at first, not concerned. Frankly, most of my sisters thought druids were just myths. I certainly never met one. When they started setting up camps, we just wanted to keep an eye on them.
Maybe that was naive."
This tablet that Wyress Tola sent Dhulef to examine. Do you know what these symbols mean?
"Tablet? No, I've never seen this before. The symbol in the middle, that's similar to one we use to represent nature … and the one on the bottom left looks like a version of the Beldama symbol.
As for the other two … I don't know what they mean."
Did you notice anything else when Archdruid Michiel took the wyress?
"It all happened so fast! He said something about needing a wyress to open the path. And I know he mentioned the Druid King and a ritual site—things I'd never heard of until the mage arrived and asked Wyress Tola about them."
The mage? You mean Dhulef?
"Yes. Wyress Tola spoke fondly of your friend. He asked if she knew any stories about the Druid King meeting the wyrds long ago. She seemed to know something, but she wanted to consult the other elders. Maybe that's why the Firesong took her?"

Speaking to her again, her greeting will change if you leave and return to the conversation at this point:

"Please, if you really mean to help, find Wyress Tola! Archdruid Michiel, there's a darkness in his eyes. I fear he'll hurt her once he gets what he wants.
Maybe something in the Firesong camps will lead you to them. Please, hurry!"

After you explore the three Firesong camps, you can return to the Beldama Wyrd camp to tell Druid Laurel what you found. Speaking with Wyress Joslin before Laurel:

"Did you find anything? Do you know where they took Wyress Tola? Please, discuss among yourselves if you must, but I ask that you hurry."

Once you have spoken with Druid Laurel, Wyress Joslin will pipe up:

Wyress Joslin: "There's a cave near that spot on the map, over on the eastern shore. We never go there. My sisters say it's haunted."
Dhulef: "Haunted? Great. I'll bet that's it then. We'll meet you there."

Speaking with Wyress Joslin before you leave:

"Please, you must save Wyress Tola. I don't know what you'll encounter in that cave in Hag Fen, but the longer she's with that evil druid, the more worried I become. Be careful, but bring her back to us, please!"
Can you tell me anything about this totem we found at a Firesong camp?
"That's an old wyrd totem. We don't use those very often in our rituals and ceremonies anymore, but they used to be more prevalent. Hmm, that word inscribed there. Frii. Sounds like ancient Breton to me, but I have no idea what it may mean."
