(Scientist-type Roleplaying)

Alchemist[edit]

This roleplaying idea has lots of game hours behind it. One of the most overlooked skills to have a life style with it is definitely alchemy. From it come many possibilites. Are you a simple alchemist, making whatever potions you can for the sake of getting better? Are you actually a corporation with your specialized namebrand potions to put on the market? Are you a drug dealer who makes his own special potion to get people addicted? Or are you simply an evil scientist who makes deadly posions for assassins, or even yourself, to wreak amongst the poor, unsuspecting people of Cyrodiil?

Find your headquarters to begin your alchemy work. For low level characters, I would recommend the Bravil or Leyawiin houses, as they are low-key, and still provide enough storage. Remember that this should not be your first house then, because a devoted alchemist needs to use every singe container available for alchemical storage. Remember some key rules for begin an alchemist:

-Screwed up a potion? Got some negative effects? Who cares! Keep them! Keep them as failed prototype models in some specified container for them.

-Try to create a theme for your alchemy if you're just starting. Maybe you're under contract with the Fighter's Guild to help them make potions that fortify strenght, endurance, or health. Maybe its the Mages Guild to make potions to fortify magicka. Maybe even the Dark Brotherhood to make poisons for them.

-Don't replace your equipment! Maybe you're working with some not-so-rich clients, who can't afford your top product. Use some of that old outdated equipment for those smaller contracts.

-Decorate the house! Make sure you have your house plenty decorated. Keep your lower end alchemy tools on the shelves for display, but not your greatest things so that no one takes them.

Whatever it is, there are plenty of playing ideas for the fellow alchemist. You just gotta start thinking.
