Chickens are docile, domesticated birds common throughout Skyrim and High Rock. They are bred for their eggs and meat. Although mainly encountered around farms and smaller settlements, they can often be found within cities and towns.
Badgers are known to prey on chickens which makes farmers hate them.

Breeds[edit]
Alcaire Blue Cockerel[edit]
The cockerels of Alcaire Castle uphold their noble duty and make as much noise during daybreak as possible. Their screeching continues well into the morning, waking any lucky enough to miss out on their earliest morning calls.
Cropsford Hen[edit]
The Cropsford Hen is a breed of chicken known for its protective nature. It is named for the town of Cropsford but is widely used across Cyrodiil.
Riverwood White Hen[edit]
The Riverwood White Hen is a hardy domestic chicken found all along Skyrim's White River, said to have been originally bred in the old town of Riverwood.
Mara's Spring Chicken[edit]
As a sign of the blessing of Mara, certain breeds of chickens such as the Spring Chicken lay eggs with shells in a variety of colors.
