Walkthrough[edit]

In The Limping Sandrunner, you'll find a man named Koiko, who claims to be thief. He has a job for you - steal a treasure map from the self-styled Moon Sugar Lord, and he'll split the profits with you. He thinks it's in the Khajiit's house; you can either sneak in the front when Ja'kil is gone, or go around back and enter through a trap door. You only have to search the containers on the top floor, but be careful - there's an animate statue up there too. Unfortunately, the map's not there (but you may find his journal - see Moon Sugar Gold), so you'll have to go back to Koiko. He'll tell you that it must be in the Oasis Fortress, a fortified compound near Galu Oasis, south of the Arena. He'll give you a rope ladder so you can climb over the wall.

Go there and find a suitable place to climb over (just walk around the perimeter and you'll get a script prompt). But wait - it's a trap! You'll be forced to kill Koiko, after which the guards will attack you. After you defeat them, the Moon Sugar Lord will capitulate and give you the key to his treasury, in which you'll find the map.

Stage Finishes Quest Journal Entry
Notes
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • PC It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ODDDesertKarteQuest stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
