One Quest per Game[edit]

Are you limited to 1 quest per game or 1 quest at a time or can you have them all at the same time/complete them all? — Unsigned comment by 220.162.115.107 (talk) on 19 December 2011

It seems that only one radiant quest of a similar type can be assigned at any given time. You must clear the radiant quest from your miscellaneous quests in order to be eligible to receive another of the same type. Kastagir 18:23, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
I don't think it's correct that you can only have 1 of these at a time since at the moment I've got 3 of them. Also the list of people that give this quest seems to be incomplete, for exemple there is also a quest to find the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Helm_of_Winterhold#Helm_of_Winterhold while that item is not on the list — Unsigned comment by 83.81.246.145 (talk) at 21:24 on 18 January 2012
You have three because they're technically considered different types of quests. This page is for Dungeon Delving (Caves). There is also a Dungeon Delving (Bandits) and a Dungeon Delving (Jarl-Caves) which are considered different types by the game. I believe all the Dungeon Delving quests you can get from Jarls are considered unique. Alphabetface 14:01, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

Unable to get more than one quest from this list at a time[edit]

I ran a test on this issue. Once I got one of these quests I was unable to get it from any of the other people. I tested this starting with each of the NPCs and had the same problem. Then did another test to see if a new quest would be available once the current quest was completed and it worked. I got Frida's quest and was unable to get any of the others. Once I completed her quest the other quests were available again. I then got Oengul War-Anvil quest and the rest of the quests were not available. Not a completely thorough test but it does appear you can only get one of these at a time. — Unsigned comment by Izzysawicki (talkcontribs) at 03:32 on 3 February 2012

This has been noted elsewhere on the Wiki about radiant quests in the same group (can't remember where). Should be here too, though. Adding to notes section. Alphabetface 13:49, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
I think the "find Hralti's sword" quest for the ghost in Old Hroldan might be in this group as well. The smith in Windhelm didn't have the dialog to start his "find Freydis' sword" quest while I had the other active. --97.73.64.147 06:50, 13 December 2012 (GMT)
I don't know if this is the proper way to do it, but it worked. Ring of Pure Mixtures quest and accidentally talked to Noster Eagle-Eye so he didn't want to give me the quest. I clicked on him using the console and used resetai, he went back to his original standing place and told me about his helmet. — Unsigned comment by 50.67.160.53 (talk) at 06:40 on 13 June 2015

Cannot complete quest?[edit]

Not sure of the cause, but it seems at some point I either started this quest to return Queen Freydis's Sword, or (if this is possible) simply found the sword without getting the quest start. Either way, in my misc. tasks it tells me to "return queen's sword" to quest giver, but when I checked my inventory I didn't have the sword in it, and when I talk the smith guy, he has no dialogue options relating to this quest. I tried using the console to a.) add item to my character to see if that would prompt dialogue b.) reset quest c.) Set stage to 20 to auto-complete d.) Set stage to 10 and then 15 to see if that would prompt his dialogue or re-start the quest. None of the above seem to have any effect that I can discern in-game after using those console commands, IE no on-screen prompts telling me the quest has advanced or anything. Nobody on the net seems to have reported this problem enough to have google bring it up. Anyone got advice here? It is worth noting that IF I REMEMBER RIGHT (this was probably nearly a year ago) I got the quest and went off and found the sword, then got side-tracked doing other things and eventually finished the civil war in favor of the imperials before attempting to turn this one in. Given the smith guy is hard-line Stormcloak I wasn't sure if there was the possibility of this being somehow intentional but poorly coded or what. Anyone got feedback/advice/help for me? — Unsigned comment by Seroster (talkcontribs) at 05:13 on 13 November 2012‎

It's probably because you finished the civil war in favor of the Imperials. Oengul wanted the sword for Ulfric. 24.159.122.98 07:48, 17 December 2018 (UTC)

Not all locations listed?[edit]

I took the quest of Frida (Dawnstar, Mortar & Pestle) – and she sent me to Shrouded Grove.
That location is neither listed for the quest, for radiant locations, nor is the quest or any hint for radiant quests given on the location's site.
Is that a case of incompleteness or am I the only one with this behaviour? -- CompleCCity (talk) 18:06, 19 May 2014 (GMT)

It's a USKP fix. I'll make a note of it on the page. Robin Hood  (talk) 13:41, 20 May 2014 (GMT)
There's more. I got the quest from Roggi and he sent me to Darkshade for his shield. Which is not on the list. However, it's on Runil's list. Has that just slipped into the wrong box? Because all other possible places for (Falkreath citizen) Runil's quest are in Falkreath. Or does that come from the bug of Darkshade's incorrect region allocation? In addition to that Runil has both Sunderstone Gorge AND Greywater Gorge. Which are two names for the same location. Was that intentional? 109.40.131.163 03:38, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

None of the quests are available![edit]

The only one that seems to be available is Oengul's quest. I complete Oengul's quest, but didn't get the dialogue option for anyone else's. What's going on? Nicholasemjohnson (talk) 04:41, 23 November 2014 (GMT)

I'm having a similar issue. I got and completed the quest for Noster's Helm, but am unable to get any other quests. I've tried using console commands to setstage and complete the quest to clear it from active quests (though its not currently listed in misc quests), add the sword for Oengul, or setstage to advance the quest to see if it will start the quest with no success. If anyone knows why it won't allow me to start any new ones I'd appreciate the help as I'm many hours into a 100% completion file. User:Anonymous 23:36, 19 June 2021 (GMT)

Shadowgreen Cavern.[edit]

Just did Noster's part of this quest and it directed me to find the helmet in Shadowgreen Cavern, but instead of the pointer being an "enter here" one on the cave's place marker, it was an "available in this cell" one in the middle of the Thalmor embassy. Is this a glitch or just weird scripting? AyaHawkeye (talk) 01:39, 14 February 2015 (GMT)

Can not get the quest from Roggi despite having none of the other quests[edit]

I can not get the quest of Roggi, althought I have none of these radiant quests active. I completed Onmund's before and can successfully accept the one from Runil. I did the required quest and took care of his debt. Raising his disposition does nothing but allow me to recruit him as follower. I spoke to him during all different times in all locations he visits. I do not have any quests active, which would require me to visit one of the possible locations of his quest. How do I make him give me the quest? — Unsigned comment by 88.152.245.156 (talk) at 22:40 on 12 July 2016

Roggi's Ancestral Shield.[edit]

After completing Roggi's favour quest, his shield can be found in the mine at Kynesgrove (lying on the floor against the wall at the far end of the mine). 86.147.139.6 23:56, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
