Reward[edit]

Just a note on the reward shield, I don't think it's levelled, I think it's random, I reloaded the autosave of walking into the castle a few times, first I got a dwarven shield, then a banded iron one a few times and then I got an orcish one. I'm level 49 49.178.128.10 12:50, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

It is levelled, but at levels 40 and above, it becomes random and biased towards a simple Banded Iron Shield (give or take, 50% chance, depending on level). At level 49, you have all the possible options available to you; at lower levels, you wouldn't. Robin Hoodtalk 07:16, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
At level 29 I received a DragonPlate shield on my second try. First was Dwarven. Never had Daedric appear, though I've gone through it several times trying to get the DragonPlate shield again (didn't check the wiki about the reward ALWAYS being a shield until a few more tries later). Other results include Orcish (most likely), Ebony (second most likely), Elven (least likely), and Banded Iron (a little less common than the Orcish shield, but more common than the Dwarven). 24.2.73.10 08:44, 26 May 2012 (UTC) Edit: apparently the odds of getting a steel shield are as slim as DragonPlate at level 32.. You can also obtain 400g (at level 1, most likely a leveled reward as with the other quests like this) from Legate Rikke if you speak to her first. This would mean going to the new encampment (Rift Imperial Camp) she moves to prior to speaking to Tullius. Furthermore this appears to be the case with ALL these quests. For the maximum reward you should speak first to Legate Rikke and THEN go see Tullius. Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 03:24, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

bug murderer[edit]

for some reason the quest ran ok except everyone just stand around I do use a DLC for guards not sure if that affected and I found the fort on my own Killed some bandits and silver guys in that area anyway when I ran it I had to murder all the enemies so my murder total ran up to 50 was 2. If someone makes a patch make it run by stormcloaks in the first place and make em hostile when you start the quest also why can't I loot the stormcloaks? It completed though an empty win though no bounty eitherMrp8196 (talk)

Quest entry bug[edit]

I've done the season unending quest and The Pale wasn't offered. The quest is still there with "5% of enemies remaining" I'm playing on the PS3. Help? — Unsigned comment by 24.27.187.182 (talk) at 23:32 on 17 November 2013
