The Telvanni Isles are secluded islands that lie off the northeasternmost coast of Tamriel, divided from the Morrowind mainland by the Molagreahd Channel. The archipelago consists of four major islands, three of which are populated by the xenophobic Great House Telvanni. Vahn, the largest island, hosts Port Telvannis, the largest Telvanni city in all of Morrowind. Home of House Telvanni's Parliament of Bugs, the immense Tel Thenim tower, and a bustling port, this massive sadrith conurbation is a pillar of the eastern slave trade, but scorns contact with the West.
Visitors, especially those from the Imperial West, may be surprised at the city's hostility towards outlanders. Port Telvannis prizes its detachment from Imperial law and culture, and the Telvanni care little for the facades of mercantile custom that would attract Imperial business. Travelers, especially those affiliated with the Guilds or the Legion, should come prepared to be shunned by locals. For most Westerners, Port Telvannis is best left alone.
West of Port Telvannis, on the tip of Vahn, lies Sadas Plantation, a large agricultural steading where skilled Telvanni raise plainstriders and netch. Tel Sadas, an old Velothi outpost from the Second Era, towers over these fields.
Across the strait and south of Vahn is Gah Sadrith. Like Sadrith Mora on Vvardenfell, Gah Sadrith is a more welcoming Telvanni port city, friendly to outsiders and merchants. Tel Darys, the Telvanni Tower Court, is here; should you find yourself in criminal trouble on the Isles, you may end up pleading your case before the local magisters.
To the northwest of Sadas Plantation and Vahn itself lies the uninhabited island locals call Balvir. Also known as the Isle of Arches, Balvir is holy to the Tribunal Temple. Take care; at night, some say, ill sounds can be heard echoing across the waters.
Across the water from the Imperial town of Bal Oyra lies Balvvarden Isle, home of the tiny village of Bahrammu. The most remote of the Telvanni Isles, this windswept and rain-drenched island has little in the way of services.
