Excerpts from the Dragons of Change
by K’ash Gibbson, Loreseeker-Paramount of the Lorekeepers, 3E 420
Brief passages from a book that details the pseudo-religious respect the Bat Elves have given to two of Tamriel's most important emperors

Uriel Septim V: The Fighting Diamond of the Western World

"For far too long has the Eastern Hemisphere, especially the Dragon Land, lay bare to our eyes and unfruitful to our knowledge. We must seek to reunite this splintering Mundus of ours into a prosperous, more dignified society of fully integrated communities and cultures, even if we must pave the way to this more developed world through blood and steel and fire."
Tiber's Greatest Heir and Dragon of the East.

...Uriel V, despite what many Septimologists considers contradictory, has been a Honorary Venerant of the Echmeri collective of ancestral hero-saints ever since his arrival in the Padomaic and remains so in the common day. His native, Ek'hi name was Yuarial (which translates roughly into "Emberious Diamond"; he was also known as the "Drake-King of the West". Even though he is commonly depicted (and historically recognized) as a man of brutal temperament, amoral tactics, and warlust, the Echmer are not so biased to avoid noting his incredible passion, admirable stubbornness, and defiance in the face of adversity. In fact, his official title and description as a Venerant is "the Warmaster of the New World" who watches over the lives of all foreigners and foreign interests. Meanwhile, some old-thinking (note: god-fearing) Echmer sages and communities view him as a "agent of change" and a demigod sent from on high to the Eastern World by his divine progenitor T'jalon (modern bat elves would rather not attribute more godship to a proven Raokkra-Nem, or Dragonborn, though). Modernists will however reject these claims of Uriel V being anything more than a powerful man with a drake's spirit, just like how the Yneslean Directorate as a whole rejects the rumor they recovered the emperor's corpse from Akavir and hid it somewhere in a place of honor within the Dweech. Legends circulating around the Fighting Diamond are quite popular and are frequently told to Yneslean children: from stories about the Mortallic Twinblades he had made from materials of all the civilized races of the world that are rumored to be able to cut down gods, to the wives' tale that he may have temporarily sat on the Rhetoric Throne itself before it ultimately deemed him unworthy...

Morihatha Septim: Seaborne Opal of the Eastern Seas

"You ask me why I care about the Padomaic Territories? I see, so let me explain. As soon as my father died, when the Expeditionary Force crossed the eastern ocean to return to the Imperial City without his body, you Councilors immediately wanted to abandon those conquered kingdoms as if they were unimportant to the greater scope of our continent. And yet, those very same kingdoms did not try to secede, or rebel, or even cause a minor ruckus. Of course, there may have been detractors or irritants who were happy that my father had died, but as a collective they stayed and mourned with us too. If these new lands, which have never before been so deeply entrenched within our provincial struggles, can show more loyalty to the Crown then the Elder Council itself...then why not show them the same love and support I show to Dawn's Beauty?"
The Articulate Lady and Tametress of the Political Hydra.

...out of all of Uriel V's children, it was Morihatha (known to the bat elves as Maorai-H'atna in Ek'hi; a nickname which means "Sharp-Tongued Pearl") who inherited her father's love for travel and appreciation for foreign cultures & practices the most. Her twin-sister, Eloise, would often only concern herself with the Royal Privileges of her bloodline while their half-brother, Uriel VI, struggled to measure up to Tamriel's newly perceived imagery of a strong, conquerous emperor thanks to the actions of the Fighting Diamond. But Morihatha had been a scholastic child, and used the imperial funds alloted to the Septims to visit other provinces and the Imperial Territories as much as possible in order to learn their habits and general personalities, which aided her immensely when her brother sadly passed from his jousting incident and she inherited the throne. Upon her coronation Morihatha immediately enacted plans of supporting minor kingdoms and estates throughout all the countries underneath the Empire's Rule with the construction of new road systems, reestablishing educational opportunities for the poor, and scheduling intercultural events like festivals and tournaments to encourage better understanding of foreign cultures within the general populace. She was also a highly skilled diplomat, as good with her voice as her father had been with his sword, and used the conversational techniques she learned while traveling abroad in her youth alongside her natural beauty and cunning to convince other leaders that her plans and ideas were the safest and most reasonable (which is why the Maormer and Echmer both started her calling her the "Queen of Hydras", due to her ability to out-debate entire courtrooms without fright or delay). A Dragonborn like her father before her, Morihatha's official title and description is the "Justifiar of the New World" whose existence made the Imperial Invasion tolerable and whose death saddened the stars...
