Sandbox[edit]

Hi. I noticed your post on the New Page Request Page. To me, it looks like it will be a really useful page. You note that you have created a sandbox. I think it will be helpful to others if you provide a direct link to your sandbox. You can do so like (for example) this: [[User:Dark_Lord/Skyrim_Oblivion|Oblivion-Skyrim sandbox]]. I am pretty new here, so I am not sure about the following, but I think that most people include the word "sandbox" in the names of their sandbox pages. This may help others to quickly see that it is a sandbox. You can then ask others to give you feedback, help you to develop it before putting it live, etc. Krusty suggested that you create the sandbox, and we can look at his user page for some examples of how you might like to name and keep track of your sandboxes. He keeps links to them at the top of his page. You can click "edit" on his page to see how he did it. Of course, it is not necessary to construct a section that is formatted like his. You can see my talk page for a simpler way to keep track of your sandboxes (actually it was Krusty who helped me out when I originally asked for help on this issue).

I don't think it's necessary to change the name of your sandbox, but if you want to do it, you can just create a new sandbox (maybe named something like User:Dark_Lord/Skyrim_Oblivion_Sandbox), copy and paste all of the contents of your current page into it, and then request a speedy deletion of the original page/file. There may also be a way to ask an admin to just re-name the file; I don't know.

Finally, I don't know why your posts are signed with your username but no time stamp. It may be helpful to others (and yourself) to include it.

This message is intended only as appreciation and potential support. I hope it does not come across as some kind of "correction" or criticism. -Jim --Jreynolds2Talk E-mail 02:27, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
