I am at armorer level 50 (enhanced by use of a ring and a necklace) but cannot seem to be able to repair enchanted items. Can anyone help with this please? Ethna 18:35, 10 October 2006 (EDT)

Like most skills, the perks for Armorer are based on your un-modified skill level, and don't take magical enhancements into account. Once you reach level 50 without the enhancements, you'll be able to take advantage of these perks. --TheRealLurlock 19:17, 10 October 2006 (EDT)

Thanks for that. I suspected as much but if this is the case what is the advantage to me to have the enhancements to armorer? Ethna 03:41, 11 October 2006 (EDT)

Not a whole lot - your hammers will break less often, and you'll get more repairs done with fewer uses, but that's about it. However, it has been reported that the Expert perk (being able to repair up to 125%) is available even if your skill is only above 75 due to magical enhancements. (This is one of very few exceptions to the rule that perks are only based on natural skill levels.) However, at your current skill level, it may be more beneficial to you NOT to wear those items, as your skill increases more slowly the higher it gets. Thus, you'll get to a natural 50 faster if you don't use such items. --TheRealLurlock 09:51, 11 October 2006 (EDT)

Very useful info - thanks - Ethna 17:20, 16 October 2006 (EDT)

OK Now I am on the Forlorn Watchman quest which I am told I have finished. Can you enlighten me as to what I gained when I found the chest? It just told me that I had finished the quest but there was no indication either of the chest or what I had earned. Thank you Ethna 08:47, 22 October 2006 (EDT)

Read The Forlorn Watchman quest page. It sounds like you haven't actually opened the chest; my memory is that the end-of-quest notice is triggered just by being very close to the chest, not actually by opening it. --Nephele 12:05, 22 October 2006 (EDT)
Make sure you release the skeleton of the watchman that is bolted up by the chest, you will know for sure everything's done when the watchman reappears to you beside the skeleton and thanks you. --AlbinoMudcrab 12:14, 22 October 2006 (EDT)
