Lore:Marsh Giant

Marsh Giants are a giant-like race native to Black Marsh. They are a form of woodland spirit and manifestation of nature comparable to spriggans. They are not related to the common giants of Skyrim, but they do share their size and pastoral activities. They play an important role in Blackwood's ecosystem by knocking down dead trees, turning the soil and making room for younger vegetation to grow. This encourages the growth of mosses and suppresses the development of invasive fungi. Marsh giants also hinder loggers, contribute to avian diversity and ward off certain predators, such as wild cats.
